Agreed, heā€™s really not innocent in any sense of the word but itā€™s one of the things I love about him
He does what he wants, when he wants , obstacles be dammed. Heā€™s a villain, and I hope blizzard doesnā€™t try to redeem him into a good guy.
Not every villain needs to be turned good.

Precisely. Love a boss character. Though again I wouldnā€™t call him evil or a villain. So far hes only killed people who deserved it and doesnt really go on murder sprees.

TBF, while Junkrat has a legit reason AND was justified during the omnic war that left the outback irradiated.

Heā€™s still an international terrorist, thief, and a wanted man. Most of all, like what Junkrat himself said, heā€™s a comedic relief. The lex luthor stole 40 cakes, and thatā€™s terrible type of comedic relief in fact.

Overwatch may sympathize what he went through but Junkrat still chose a life of crime. So heā€™s a lowlife in their eyes. Talon wants to know what he discovered in the omnium factory which was what landed him in such precarious position.

Ultimately, it doesnā€™t bother me since you know, Junkrat is a criminal and he owns it.

heā€™s not written to be some deep character (not yet and likely not in the future).

To be fair, what we know about his past already is that he used to be a normal guy, until he was exposed to a large sum of radiation, which made him lose his mind.

Thatā€™s sounds like a tragic past to me :cry:

Couldnā€™t agree more! On top of the radiation in his brain, being all by himself until hog came along and being an amputeeā€¦really anyone would snap from a life like that.

I do agree with you but I dont want him to be just the criminal comic relief

Here we have a man, who as far as we know hasā€¦

  1. No family
  2. No friends
  3. Only has Roadhog by his side
  4. Is an amputee
  5. Suffers from extreme mental disability due to the harsh radiation poisoning in the outback
  6. According to Roadhog lies to himself meaning hes hiding his true feelings
  7. Sprays that show him being a happy carefree child at one point in his life.

All of these things to me scream more than just The Joker but for kids theres just to much hint to his lore to be pushed to the wayside.

Take Dva for example, her lore is just ruined lol a starcraft gamer who got accepted into the military? Then that gets retconned least thats what I heard and now she hasā€¦no lore lol shes just the gamer girl now. And thatā€™s a huge shame cause she had the most potential for story.

Eh, itā€™s Junkrat. He can take it.

Not to mention Overwatch donā€™t really know him well, all they see from their perspective is a world-wide criminal.

Sides, I think its best he be the criminal comic relief so he can keep doing dumb stuff like stealing from an ice-cream van, taking all the pachimaris in hanamura arcade and hooking someone from another building, string that guy up before blowing the building their standing on.

Otherwise, its hard to work him tbh.
