Of course, bringing a high-damage character into the Stadium mode too early was bound to cause problems. Right now, Stadium is being dominated by Junkrat and Freja.
Characters like Sojourn, Pharah, Junkrat, and Freja should be among the last to be added to this mode. Stadium is still new, introducing such high-damage characters naturally disrupts the balance.
Stadium is truly a great mode, but it’s still very new and has a long way to go. It’s already too late for Junkrat and Freja, but please make sure Sojourn and Pharah are added to this mode last.
Just wait until Sombra, Widowmaker and Wrecking Ball get added…

As a Junkrat main, Junkrat is kind of terrible in stadium. Genji alone shuts him down, but all the other characters are hitscans with power ups. In most games I’ve played he’s normally last in points because the healing is so much more efficient that his damage gets mostly nullified so his kills are limited vs standard mode. I won’t even pick him anymore because I see it as a throw away pick honestly.
I don’t see it his left click build is kinda terrible it’s just RNG spamming, and his power build is totally useless outside of the ult, really bad talents
I played 3 games this morning, I had a freja who couldn’t reach 1000 damage in 3 whole rounds. I was playing Juno and had 4k dmg with about 5k heals. Had a junk in 2/3 games on both sides and they were basically doing nothing aside from getting 1-2 kills with rip tire.
Tbf… I was in pro but the rank reset do be silly and put me back into rookie, so the matchmaking might be responsible, idk.
I genuinely don’t like junk or freja in normal overwatch, but in stadium idk it seems they’re only effective in competent hands. Which is good, I hate heroes like Moira who basically gets value for free (not literally free, but it feels free compared to how much every other hero has to work).
