I think if Sojourn/Hog, and probably Widow are up for nerfs. It kinda makes sense Junk and Hanzo are next.
If anything, the grenade + mine combo isn’t what I’d consider the problem.

That said, they should try making it so the mine does 90 damage with no falloff, but after it lands it does 120 damage.
Then from there, probably give him less splash damage on his grenades per bounce, but still full damage on directs. (Technically this would be more damage dropoff).
From there, dunno, maybe give him 175hp with 25armor.
You do understand more than one button press is not a one shot right? RH would not be so demonized if they would fix the hooking out of animation distance. You should not always get an escape.
So widowmaker isn’t a oneshot because you have to hold right click to scope?
Technically a Widow player is putting themselves at risk while scoping.

Yeah, Junk isn’t a problem right now, he’s just actually playable for once.
Anytime a DPS hero outside of hitscan (or hanzo) becomes close to viable at higher ranks, hitscan DPS players with fragile egos will start whining until there are nerfs.

Any time Junkrat is strong enough to be playable at high ranks, he makes low ranks insufferable. Same with most of the crutch-y characters.
Its always bin dumb but it seems thats direction blizzard is goin with alot of their chars.
Junk hasn’t had projectiles the size of Mercy pistol rounds for years, and hasn’t been playing into a single-tank, with half the ability to mitigate spam damage as we had in 6v6 for years. Ergo, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Junkrat isn’t broken, but people pointing out that he has had a considerable power-spike in the 5v5 format are not whining. They are citing facts. The same is true of Widow who had less counter-play in 5v5 but received buffs for OW2 regardless…
IF he uses both then he has no escape and that’s when your team should punish him.
But rather people learn how to play against certain heroes it’s way, way easier to cry for nerfs instead.
In my super honest opinion I reallllllllllly wish the devs would just start telling people that certain abilities are OK and that players just need to git gud. Maybe that would finally shut people up.

Right, but that’s a “lower half of the playerbase” issue.
Similarly, I would expect them to start making Pharah and PharahMercy less oppressive for the bottom half of the playerbase.
You’re all arguing TTK values. Flankers → One shot → Sustained poke, etc.
It’s been years of this repetitive cycle of forum complaints. The priority is to always kill supports as they extend TTK. We went through GOATs and mad brawl comps, where TTK was low and you outsustained and pushed the opponent. We went through dive where you pick a target then overload them with concentrated damage then rolled the rest of the team after the pick. We had poke/pirate ship where you’d just move around and move on the first pick. We’ve had burst where you delete one and roll.
All these have an overwhelming fundamental theme: TTK. Once that one kill is achieved you push your advantage.
Lot of people around here seem to want a TTK that allows them to basically indefinitely stall. Support main complaints for instance. This is wild.
You are still playing an FPS. You shouldn’t be able to mindlessly dump healing or damage from a safe position and just not worry. That’s not how a game like this should work.
I’ve found that most people around here just adopt the opinions of high rank content creators as their own. Like in OW1 if someone on the forums said junk torb or bastion op they were made fun of and called a noob but the reality has always been that you could one trick any of those heroes to diamond, sometimes masters. The reality was that any rank below diamond struggled to counter a bastion bunker comp. Even though the large majority here play in low rank, they like to pretend like they don’t so they adapt the opinions of high rank players.
Around OW2 beta I said that junk torb and reaper will be strong picks in OW2 because they are anti tank heroes and with only one tank, anti tank comps become way more valuable. I was made fun of, called a noob, but I was right.
Okay get this already, hog needs a nerf coz hook is easy. It’s EASY. Not hard, but EASY. Everyone can do it consistently and that is the issue. The game is garbage tier regardless, trying to remove one shots and combos that less than 5% of the population can pull of consistently won’t magically make you a better player. Removing a combo like hook that prolly <50% of the player base he t value from consistently of course it needs changes! If you do not like FPS games do not play them. Trying to turn Ow in to more of mess won’t make it more popular and that helps no one that wants to play it.
