I’ve recently fell in love with junkrat. I just find him so fun to play and so sastifying to get kills with. But my aim with him is kinda bad. Can y’all junkrat mains give me tips how high to aim and how to predict movements right?
Expect nades to have lots of hit detection issues. Especially against small hitboxes.
First you’re going to want to practice your lobs, as in seeing how you’re ballz arc and their max distance.
Second your going to want to practice bouncing them off walls. Since the nerf I found that aiming at objects near my intended target helps since the enemy doesn’t think it will hit them as all they see it going off center. (this means you got to practice your angles too.)
your going to have to lead your shoots. Rarely do you directly aim at a character unless your so close the travel time doesn’t matter (which is usualy within ball+mine combo.)
A good strat is to use your mine to jump over your targets and rain ballz on them as you go. Make sure you’re aiming to land on some high ground or something cuz if you land in the middle of them your prob going to die lol
Look through this google doc. It has different custom reticals for different heroes. junkrat’s version has the crosshair length just perfect that if you lead people with the edge of it your grenades will hit if they don’t dodge. This works well vs larger targets. It has more tips on how to use the crosshair when you read it. I don’t actually remember who made the document though.
I’m a long time junk main. If someone is above you use your mines to get close and blast them out of the air but if someone is at ground level and so are you u want to shot at the ground at an angle so ur nades go as far as they can an are more acurate. Also try to get close up so u dont really need to aim.
You can lead people with you’re bombs too. Aiming a direct body shoot will cause a person to move.
If you can predict where they will dodge to you can shoot a ball out and quickly shoot to the area the person will run to. They will avoid the first and probably get caught by the second
aim up, close your eyes, and hold in LMB.
I’m no Junkrat main, but something I’ve picked up on is to know where exactly your bombs are going when you shoot them off into a corner. I typically use custom game with a friend or by myself to get a good understanding of the trajectory of his projectiles. I may feel like a lot of effort over something so minute, but it makes the difference between just firing in a direction and actually having those bombs go into a choke or narrow passageway.
What aim?
I’m joking! I’m no Junkrat player but I’d suggest trying to learn how the trajectory of the launcher effects distance and how much the bombs can roll before exploding. Sounds about right to me but I may be wrong.
It’s just practice, really. Verbal descriptions of how to shoot things aren’t going to help you nearly as much as experiencing the shooting of things for yourself.
thanks for the google doc
Find unused high ground, take it, and rain justice from above
Funny joke, Junkrat requires no aim
Funny troll reply again.
I try some times but sorry
Just fire into a choke point and hope for the best
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Try just aim up. His weapon is almost same bomb gernade so… You need aim up as Junkrat. Since his ball will go down if you do aim at on hitbox, where that on second floor that really extact, and ball would won’t hit it. So try aim more up. Sorry I am not player Junkrat.
Junkrat is a prediction hero, he is harder to master than a hitscan and yes, sometimes he gets lucky kills but heroes like Soldier, zen etc. get lucky rightclisk aswell. To play Junkrat at highest level you have to play him VERY MUCH. And how to aim to get your bombs to a certain place … no one can say how to aim, you have to experience it yourself. Most hitscan say that Junkrat is a noskill hero but in fact he is one of the hardest to master heroes in the whole game. A hitscan just aims at the target (played many fps like cod etc) and its just simple and easy but as Junkrat you have to predict, where the enemy will be in 0.5, 1.0 or 1.5 seconds. You cant aim directly on your enemy (except in melee range).
For example Junkrat and Soldier run on a straight way at each other while moving right and left. The soldier hits you if he has average tracking skills but you have to predict, will he move to the right, to the left or stays in middle? And the bigger the distance the higher the prediction time.
Play lot’s of pool and learn how geometry works and it will help you with getting people hiding behind walls and such, it helps with Moira as well.
