Please, please, please, please, for the love of God, get rid of junkrats trap. Since it has been reverted it is the only stain on OW2. There should NEVER be a stun that lasts for more than a moment and the game feels great with less stuns. Junkrat’s trap is the only fun destroying stun left. PLEASE! You want more players back? Less stuns is how you do it.
Replace the ability with a rocket jump like ability. It will make him more fun to play. He won’t have to use mines to jump high, he’ll get better angles and you’ll be able to fly into peoples backlines. It also fits the character way more. He is the explosives character after all. Nothing about him relates to traps.

Abilities should be judged on how they work when they work and being immobile for seconds in a fast pace game brings the whole vibe down.

The point of Junkrat’s trap is that you have to play around it. Something like you can’t make a surprise flank if you have to shoot the trap. Literally what the trap does is that you have to shoot it. It’s so massive that if you somehow manage to not see it and walk into it, I’m sorry but you deserve to be stunned for however many seconds it is at that point.

Why are we rationalizing a disease? OW2 feels so much better with less cc and this is one of the last pieces left. Its fairness is irrelevant. The questions should be, is it healthy? Is it fun? Even for Junkrat, wouldn’t it be more fun if he had another offensive ability? Imagine if he could super jump without using his mines. He would be a much more fun character and other players wouldn’t feel cheated for not having a good enough monitor. It’s a win win.

But it’s not oppressive cc though. Just don’t walk into the trap!!! Besides it don’t really have much to do with a monitor, you can honestly see it from the moon.

These replies are all the same argument. Who cares who fault it is? The question is, is it an ability that is healthy for the game? The clear answer is no. The evidence is that they took most cc out. Cc is anti-fun especially when the penalty is so harsh.

Trap is only an issue when junkrat throws it on you
