Junkenstein’s lab is best game mode

Anyone who says it is bad is wrong simple as.

Most fun game mode maybe ever.

Sniper Dva with op anti boost is crazy.
Double melee is cool for the animation alone.

I hope this is a test for a talent type system they’re adding later on.

It is pretty fun though I gotta say those dva talents are insanely busted and not always fun to play against…

I’m not sure what compelled them to add anti as an effect. Also the Kiri explosive kunais do ungodly damage

They cant balance the game as it is.

Adding more complexity via a talent system would just make things exponentially worse trying to balance it all

If they cant balance the base heroes now, how can you have any confidence they will be able to balance heroes when they have multiple different talents

They couldnt even make the most basic implementation of a talent system work with role passives

How many times have we gone back on forth on how much knockback resistance tanks should have. If they cant even figure out something as basic as that, how in the hell are they going to make entire new gameplay mechanics work

This sort of stuff should be kept to pve. It is inherently against the competitive nature of the pvp game. In pve go crazy.

Literally just

• copy paste this talent system into the invasion missions

• Add in a couple basic daily & weekly challenges for people to make progress on their battle pass still

• Add in some of the basic pve modifiers we’ve seen before such as exploding enemies on death, crits only, lower hp but you get lifesteal and then make those rotate on a weekly schedule

Suddenly you have an automated pve system that
• doesnt need constant dev resources,
• is more replayable,
• more rewarding to play
• and ultimately gives people more reason to go and play the pve every week or so

Then if the devs really wanted to they can slowly add to the available pve hero pool over the seasons like they do with hero mastery already. I dont see how this would take much effort on their part when most of it is already finished

The only actual reason why they wouldnt do this is it makes no money…

Agreed. I think its close between this and Mirrorwatch, but this mode is pretty cool.

Its a little demoralizing to know this could have been part of an actual system in-game to enhance/customize your preferred hero. Would have been really cool imo.

Add in an all heroes mode in the modifier rotation and it’d be perfect.

If we could progress at least one weekly challenge in the pve, people would play them more.

Exactly i certainly would rather have the option to play through some pve missions with this talent system than have to do unranked or arcade games to complete a weekly challenge

they can sell discard tokens, and talent reroll tokens

I’d rather them actually build towards a meaningful hero mastery track system that you have to pay for but allows you to unlock cool rewards than start selling boosts and tokens

Other games have it where as you play your hero/champion etc, you earn mastery xp and level up.

Theres usually a free track that offers some basic rewards like sprays but then you can pay and it unlocks the premium track for that hero where you earn better rewards

I dont know why anyone would pay to reroll talents when the randomness of talents is part of the replayability. If you could just get the talents you wanted every game it would be no fun

At least make them count for the “complete 45 matches” one if nothing else…

For example

Everything is themed around genji as you would expect on his mastery track.

Signatures would work as they do now where rank 1 is just a basic background art. Rank 2 makes the art animated. Rank 3 adds an effect around the signature. Ie. Rank 1 is just some static shurikens behind your battletag, rank 2 those shruikens now move in the background, rank 3 a spirit dragon now swirls around your battle tag

Hero borders would be a new customisation option again themed around the hero. Genjis border would have a green hue to it with shurikens and katanas adorning your hero portrait in the bottom left corner

Could add even more things if they reallt wanted like announcer packs, menu music themes, main menu artwork, ui overlays etc
