This is very wrong. EU isn’t second class and actually has a better infra.

Same issue here, EU server by the way I know, I’m in the wrong forums. It was stuck on that same fetching manifest thing, then I restarted the computer, and the launcher multiple times, I stopped the update, then the “waiting for another update” thing came up, now it’s still stuck at “waiting on another update”.
We wanted to play with friends. One friend’s game updated, the rest of us are stuck with the same issue.

Just started downloading for me, I see no reason why. It just happened

Hardly anybody uses the EU forums. Infact a ton of people don’t even know there is one

I closed the app for about 6 minutes and now I am again stuck at manifest

It’ll clear eventually. A few client restarts cleared some of those issues for me and it eventually grabbed the update
I can’t get past “Fetching download manifest (813.33KB/813.33KB)” either.
I’m in the EU as well.
Tried closing the app & clearing Blizzard Updater from Task Manager to no avail.
I’m currently watching a streamer -also from the EU- who’s successfully updated.

Hey guys its working on my end now. What did I do? Just read the comments in this thread, looked back at my client and boom it worked. X-D
We are talking about a 800kb manifest file. This has nothing to do with download speeds.

I just googled my problem & this thread was the first thing on the list.
maybe for you? For me it finds the EU forums frist. I have to write “overwatch forumS” to specify its an english word (forums with S)
Because of reasons said millions of times : Us>China>ASia>Eu. This is how it goes,get on with it already ;}

Yep, slow download thing still in effect in EU region during peak times. Beyond Blizzard’s control.

Oh one more thing, for all of us, the client has a message saying they’re doing a live maintenance for a few minutes, but that message has been up for like 45 minutes now I think.
