as per title, backfilled a stadium game and selected character. tab would not work for the first round and i had no option to select perks. next round, it brought me back to character select. selected my character, still no option to select perks. ‘h’ key did nothing. quit game and got suspended. i shouldn’t be penalized for quitting a broken game.

Hey there, I commented on a thread posted just a few before yours addressing the same topic. Idk how this forum really operates and if the devs would prefer many topics or one topic with many replies so I’ll keep bumping these for now.
This has happened both to me and the backfills in my match. I’ve experienced it in maybe 20 games or so now. In my experience, armory selection will be possible the round that backfilled players are not asked to (re)select their characters. With multiple backfill players or even more likely continuous backfilling players, this can take multiple rounds. When players continue to leave and a new backfill joins, the older backfill will have to wait for this new player to also play an additional round so that both players finally aren’t asked to reselect. So it’s common that it isn’t until round three or four of playing that a backfill player can actually access the armory, at which point the game is likely over. Hopefully this is a bug they’re working diligently to address. Players not being able to access stadium inside stadium is a reasonable excuse to leave, and it’s going to keep happening until this is resolved.
I just had this bug in my stadium game. It was a bummer. The game allowed me to buy items my first round after backfilling in. However, the next round (last one of the game) I couldn’t access the armory. In fact, the game though I was in core which meant that it switched me to 1st person camera AND my hero acted like I didn’t have a build (which I also couldn’t see). Was not a fun experience.
