Jayne is once again correct

Elo hell is apparently around 2800. With alot of people knowing how to aim, but not having any gamesense, and a lot of them having gamesense, but can’t aim for squat.

I’m about 2800 and I can neither aim not do I have any game sense, don’t listen to experts they don’t know what they are talking about.

Main Tanks in high plat are so prone to overextending that the games literally come down to which Reinhardt is feeding more

tbh elo hell doesn’t exist.

This is a terrible mindset. This is the mindset that breeds flat earthers and anti-vaxers

I’m not even saying Jayne is right

And now we are going into politics

Insert Moira popcorn here

Soft ELO hell exsists hard ELO hell does not. You can get over the soft cap with ultra hard work.

Sounds about right, I usually don’t climb much higher than that.

Not to mention, feels like right around 2900 you get people who are “Already got my Diamond for the season, now I can slack”.

don’t worry. Diamond is still just as cancerous. Player start getting some gamesense around master and grandmaster

It is my belief that if gold and plat are relatively similar with plat having higher mechanical skills. Then low plat are just higher tier low golds and this explains why when you get to 2400 and teamed with fallen plats, it feels like you’re teamed with silvers.

I have seen some pretty good flat earth theories, as far as Jayne goes listen to what he says he’s more often than not correct, but just like holy books of yesteryear don’t take the words he says as hard and fast rules and more like guidelines.

You have not. Please don’t troll on this topic it is legitimately hurtful to us as a species. There are zero compelling flat earth arguments/theories that hold up to scrutiny.

That was just an example anyways, I don’t want to derail the thread, so just move on please.

I didn’t say I believed them, it’s just mighty hard to disprove a die hard flat earther without resorting to the Internet.

ELO hell is 1-5000. Ranked is an extremely random game mode.
Whether you play well or not doesn’t really change anything.

Yep that’s the exact problem with that SR level,a perfect spot for disaster where there’s almost no balance between mechanical level and gamesense.

Where did Jayne say this can you link the video ? I thought it was just me but I had a harder time going from around 2800k to 3000k than from 3000k to 3400k. Makes sense ! Because people have such big egos in the 2800 yet they dont have the skill to prove it

You can disprove them easily by asking them to account for the different constellations depending on where you are on the earth. Convincing them is another issue entirely. That’s the problem.

So when you say something like

That gives people more of an excuse to bury their heads in the sand and ignore actual evidence from experts.

Okay, officially done on this, sorry everyone.

Yes, this “Jayne” person is absolutely correct, spot on observation as usual, they should really be a dev!

I played ashe for like 30 games climes to 3100+ I believe it’s all about timing your games you play during the day. I played between the hours of 1:30pm to 8:30pm PST. I’ve been hardstuck plat for 8 seasons always being stuck in that elo hell tell I decided to flex support dps. and sometimes tank. Don’t just stick to one hero because the meta is always changing. learn most heroes i’m not saying perfectly but to the point where you know you can make a difference with it.

Jayne is right about a lot of things. He’s a coach and analyst that has made this game his life. Him having good insight on the game isn’t much of a surprise to anyone, at least I hope it isnt
