let it be a playable Jeff Kaplan hero… I mean a hero that looks exactly like Jeff Kaplan … redesign mcree ahem Cassidy to look like Jeff Kaplan for the event as a early April fool’s joke. I mean the entire 5 vs 5 idea has already been done as a April fool’s gag … just saying. Very simple add black eye glasses with him aiming the gun at a chalk board with the ow 2 dev team 5 vs 5 plans. I mean you gave torb a hat it’s not that hard lol 
Lunar New year is Feb 1st this year, so idk if we’ll get a mini event between the winter event ending and the Lunar event starting since it’s just 3 weeks. But, hey, if we do, that’d be a cool surprise.
If you watch the Stylosa video he basically says the cool kids meeting was just about streamers getting stuff, all those posts about being super excited for the future is just self interest, not actual content for us the players. Maybe we will get an event, but I’d much much rather see a balance pass, this meta is not fun.
well, we already know that towards the second half of 2022 a collection of short stories will be released (Ana Bastet, Symmetra Stone By stone, etc.) and from the cover of that book you can see the eyes of the Reaper mask.
Now, considering that New Blood was originally supposed to be out after Summer Games 2021 and not Malevento … it makes me think we will have a lore on Talom and Reaper with this tale, linked to the deathmatch map. it is just a big speculation, but it is still practically confirmed that in 2022 we will see a probable challenge on Reaper with a short story. what we don’t know is in which month. However, I base my speculation for malevento on its extremely poor lore of detail, and I am very suspicious of it staggering into the unknown like Petra, Ilios and Ayutthaya when there are prospects for lore in the future of the franchise.
in any case, I highly doubt that new Blood will receive any kind of extra challenge with the third vol.
Mini-events are typically 2 weeks, Lunar new year probably starts in 3-4 weeks, so it’s possible but doesn’t seem likely. Then again we got a January mini-event last year
