So, doing the math… 3 points for win and 1 for a loss… you need 30 points to get 100 comp creds.
you need 3000 comp creds to get a jade weapon
3000/100 is 30, meaning you need to reach the 30 point thing 30 times
and you need to win 10 games in order to reach the 30 point thing
so you need to win 300 games for 1 jade weapon
on the brightside, they look ugly anyway

sure but you’re also getting a lump sum of then after each season too
You get a stipend of points after every game/win, too. I earned 10 after each win last night. Not sure if losses or draws net you any.
I also thought all games contribute to the 100 point bonus and wins just contribute more progress?

yeah they got rid of that for jade
You also get 10 points after each win, and 5 after each draw. At 3 per win to get to the 30, it’s REALLY 200 comp points per 10 wins, meaning you need 150 wins

oh wait thats not that bad, didnt know u got some after a game
Yeah, the catch is you have to earn it all on a competitive year, or it gets converted to legacy competitive points (overwatch’s 5th currency). You use legacy for golden weapons, and current comp for Jade

Ugly and lazy.
It’s literally just the gold weapon with the hue changed. Same texture, same effect, exactly the same.
Took them 7 years for an intern to figure out how to use a color wheel.

Jade weapons = ugly, and they really do not look like jade, … green dyed steel yes, actual jade, not so much…
Even then I think they could have come up with a better skin for weapons.
I like the look of my gold skins better…

They’re not worth grinding, especially with this crap patch.

Like pineapple on a pizza.
Some will like it, but I’ve no interest.
So I give thanks to the Devs for saving me the desire to grind for any of it.

Jade weapons belong in a Saint Patrick’s Day event, not comp.
Sapphire weapons are a different story
Thoughts? Maybe they could make it look like jade? You know, with a bit of texture marbling? It’s just metallic green as is right now. A simple pallet swap that took about 30 seconds to create.

I think they look pretty good.
They should have called them “Metallic Emerald” or something along those lines, because if they’re going to name them after gemstones, they really should look like gemstone material, and these definitely do not.
That said, at these point accumulation rates, I don’t think I’m going to bother. I find the currency gain rates rather insulting.

Good, but not shiny enough.
