This just show that hiding rank progression do only one thing, bring in confusion as to why things changes as they did.
You dont rank up after 7 wins. Only your SR gets adjusted. So maybe you are a more silver player than a gold player.
I don’t really understand it, i perform pretty well in my comp games, averaging a k/d of 3 or higher, and with a 53% winrate.[Total out of 109 game i’ve won 58] Why would i be put high silver?
If someone has a 70% win rate as the OP claimed, they should be climbing regardless.
Because the game also determines metrics that you dont see. Otherwise people could abuse it.
Yeah, but no. Would work with the SR system in Diamond+ but below its not the winrate and rather the effort you put in the games that are valued. Thats why some people have a hard time to get out of some ranks.
That’s pretty normal. It’s only a one division difference.
You have the ability to reach gold but not maintain it, at least as we speak. You may go back up again during your next adjustment.

We literally don’t know how it works because they haven’t told us for OW2.
It could be that performance is weighted significantly more than a win is (although it would make absolutely no sense if you are winning consistently to drop).
It could also be that this is a bug, like other bugs we have already seen.
Either way… stop making stuff up when you know you don’t know.
