I have hit diamond for the first time ever. This was my original goal ever since I started playing the game. Season 1-2 I placed low bronze and grinded as hard as I could. Ive watched almost every video there is to watch on competitive. Ive learned every counter, why there is counter, and how to play the comp and to make calls with the comp.
Here is where it gets interesting. I live on a boat. This means I constantly DC and average 100ms. If somebody is reading this and you are hardstuck, just realize some kid who lives on a boat made it and there isnt a reason you can´t.
Have fun! : )

welcome to diamond.
You will probably drop out few times but as time goes on you’ll reliably be able to carry yourself back into it quite easily.

Congratulations! Proof positive that it’s primarily internal factors within a player rather than external ones (i.e. Disconnects, smurfs on the other team, throwers, leavers, etc.) that hold people back.
Currently in plat, but hope that one day I can improve my play to make it to diamond as well.
Well, it comes with a lot of work.
I want to finally leave silver in season 17. Even if I have drop into silver a few times just to constantly be in gold and above.
I dont want to live on a boat

You are a true hero, you absolute legend.
Sometimes my teamates think differently…
I agree, but the fact you toughed through it and hit DIAMOND through plat (One of the worst ranks in the game) is insane.
