Pretty much. Tanks can’t be properly balanced with the current support roster if it wasn’t.
Blizzard is still clueless and doesn’t playtest their own game so of course it is.

If role queue wasn’t necessary when it was implemented, it absolutely is now.
The game is going 5v5 now, one tank per team instead of two. Each tank has received some substantial buffing or outright reworking (Doomfist is now a tank hero).
Stacking tanks would essentially be tanks are in total mayhem mode lol.

That’s exactly what happened in the first beta. Damage and tank players whined the queues were too long so Blizzard against their will dropped QPC, players immediately whined that everyone went tank and damage. Well, what’d you think would happen??? Lol.
