Across all roles, hero bans are the best thing to ever happen to this game who knew being able to ban OP as hell heros would allow me to climb this much.
About to be diamond on Tank and on DPS soon after already hitting masters on support.

Nobody is banning Ana. Iām a Kiri main, but Iām climbing on Ana this season (bored of Kiri atm). I was expecting Ana to be banned in every game, but I havenāt seen it. I did derank during the driver event, which always happens to me. Iām not doing so hot on DPS, but it has been putting me in a few ranks higher than me with me being the lowest rank. There is an obvious skill gap.
Yeah, whoād have thought by stopping people better than you from killing you by banning their main heroes, you could play your main and do better?
to me, hero bans are one of THE worst things ever to be added to this game
I hope and pray they are removed soon, just as the original hero bans system (hero pools) was removed back in 2020
that said, I personally do not find it fun or fulfilling to get wins solely by removing/reducing my opponents ability to compete. I wouldnt see that as a win at all
I reiterate, bans have effectively destroyed my experience. Iām waiting for skate 4 and then Iām basically out 
for me as well
a win gained by intentionally crippling an opponent before the competition begins isnt a win in my eyes
I wouldnt be enjoying it, and I absolutely wouldnt be boasting on the forums about it

Tbh I donāt really care about climbing that much in this game but I would like to play a game and not get frustrated due to some characters and hero bans help alot in those situations.
Venture Freja Echo and Sombras my main wellā¦ When sheās not banned virtually every game.
Iām the same, this game has had over 30 seasons from Overwatch 1 and 16 in Overwatch 2. Iām happy in my mid diamond to mid masters range.
Iām just glad I got my gold weapons I wanted (Zenyatta, Doomfist, Sigma and Echo in Overwatch 1) and had some saved up to get Junkerqueen, Rammatra and Maugaās.
Kinda want to get Hazard, but the nerf to earning weapon currency hurts.

Iāve only had 2 games where someone has locked in Echo or Venture before me.
Sucks about Sombra, but at least you are flexible and Echo is very rewarding to play.
Cause ana has a strong player base and high pickerate , someone or the other mostly just chooses ana on the ban screen and why would people ban their own teammates hero , the only times is see her ban is when my tank is on hog or mauga thatās it.
Amazing how 1 ban allowed 5+ heroās to be viable again
I just find it funny, because a lot of people were saying Ana mains will derank. They were all gleeful about it.
Firstly, congrats on your win rates, honestly. But this is exactly what hero bans was expected to bring. It only changes the meta, and soon players want JQ and LW banned too.
Itās fair to say that certain heroes are universally hated (Sombra, Ana, etc.) but Blizz didnāt need hero bans to know those should be changed.
Lol the amount of cope on this thread from people who arenāt good celebrating being rewarded for clicking that they donāt like a hero in the game they play lol. Gotta love the scrubs thinking rank means something all while cheesing to a higher rank lol. Just learn counters and how to play there is literally no reason to need to ban any hero in this game lol. Unless you just canāt wrap your head around how to beat one of them.
Its the otherway around, scrubs stick to hard meta, good players being suppressed by metawatch players are choosing to ban those scrubs and are thus ranking up.
That would have merit if the meta was getting banned but itās not itās all the cope heroes. Scrubs are the ones obsessed with never knowing how to win a duel and just counter all day until they come up against a hero they donāt know how to counter and then just lose. Thatās why you see the same dumb bans every game, it isnāt op sojourn keeping great players down itās Sombra and Zarya apparently making scrubs to nervous to hold their own or something.
The only thing bans are bad for are the people who actually play correctly they are great for 1 tricks to ban their counters, people with the awareness of a moth or positioning of a sleeping walrus also love them. But anyone serious about actually being good knows they are nothing but boost for scrubs and bots.
Honestly this game barely even has a meta anyway. And hasnāt had a hero very far out of balance since Mauga release anyway. Itās all just cope.
