Its time to extend the limit of 3 avoids

It is evident that the system of avoiding at most 3 players did not work and did not help reduce the toxicity in the game.

I think it’s time to extend the limit. At least 6 players.

Don’t come up with the idea that it’s to keep the game friendly… bla bla bla, because we all know it doesn’t work that way. If someone avoids you, it’s because you did something wrong.

Please blizzard, it’s time to stop being hypocrites

That would absolutely destroy queue times as if it wasn’t a problem already (especially in the world of GM where even tanks get 10-minute queues).

It would just be better if blizzard had more ways of clamping down on wintraders or boosters

No one evades a player who is friendly or at least a normal person. Nobody avoids someone who plays well.
I don’t think matchmaking suffers at all.

Also there are not so many GM. Everyone can’t be harmed by just a few

If they would just add prefer as opponent.

Queue times are prohibitive as is.

I dont think queue times getting worse is an issue. If your queue times are worse because of more avoid slots its Your Fault. Either you have avoided too many people (in which case unavoid some people) or you are being avoided a lot (fix whatever behavior is getting you avoided i guess).

Maybe in GM it could be an issue where others avoiding people that arent you is affecting you (bc they’re so few players that rank) but I highly doubt it would be that much worse than it is now if at all

No matter how many avoid slots you have, you’ll always find a reason to fill them up because others will always upset people like you in some arbitrary fashion. It’s pointless.

I get the feeling many people just avoid half the team when they lose, and if it was 6 they would avoid everyone

It should be base on what rank ppl are. Because in gold and plat its nowhere near enough.

You can’t possibly confirm that to be true, not even for you. You can play well and still be avoided because someone else thinks you didn’t. It’s naive to think you know who plays well and who doesn’t 100% of the time when it comes to influencing your avoid decision.

For all you know someone may be avoided because they are too friendly by multiple players. Personalities don’t always seem to make the most practical sense when looking from the outside.

At any rate, as much as I’d like the count to be upped by a couple more, totaling 5 avoids, it would damage queues even further. It’s not worth it.

More like time to extend your friends list. If you have so little tolerance why are you queueing with randoms?

That would NOT destroy Q times. With as many smurff accounts in circulation there at. It wouldn’t matter at this point if there was an UNLIMITED “avoid this player list or not”.

If someone gets shadow banned because of being avoided. They deserve it. Maybe if they had this impending doom of being shadow banned. They’d behave better.

I wish there was an option to avoid the entire team for 1 match.

I agree. Right now I feel so tired. So mentally drained. I know I don’t play perfectly at all, and I make mistakes. But solo queuing in this game is beyond frustrating, and in quick play of all things.

I don’t know if people just don’t care anymore about their gameplay and contribution to the overall team, but I would really appreciate more avoid slots. This should at least be possible for the casual playlists such as quick play and arcade, where the matchmaking pool is infinitely wider.

Smurfs, throwers, leavers, afkers, spammers, etc., it’s all very tiresome to have to deal with.

Every avoid slot you have actively increases your and other’s q time by 1-5 minutes, depending on the ELO you play, the online available, and considering the matchmaker algorithms.

Matchmaking at the upper and lower ends would both suffer drastically from increased avoids; but yeah if you’re completely average ELO it doesn’t hurt you personally I guess.

Also add an avoid player completely option for non-competitive mode. :man_shrugging:

Source? Or are you stating an opinion as fact…?

You’re right on… but I think the point a lot of posts in here are making is… players will absolutely do that, they’ll avoid so many players that their queue times explode, and then post here saying “wtf Blizz, my queue times are egregious, what gives?!”

Then you point out that they did it to themselves and shouldn’t avoid so many people, they’ll just stick their fingers in their ears and go “la la la, can’t hear you, not my fault, plz fix this Blizz” lol

Realistically how many times have you not wanted to play with a player and they have ended up on your team again. I don’t think I dont think ive ever played with the same person twice on my team before
