Lowering the tolerance for negative behaviors together with harsher penalties and not allowing to leaving, even in quick play has brought this game to a ridiculous state.
Short context: I got suspended for 2 weeks after a match where my tank and one of the supports were attacking me basically for playing Sombra. They were a duo. Some f words and mirroring insults fell from my side, but that’s not the point and I understand it’s not a welcome behavior. Even if it came somewhat as a defense mechanism to getting attacked for no real reason.
I wrote an appeal. The answer was a typical PR nonsense, but what got my attention were some of the quotes that got me banned:
“u can’t be [f word] real”,
“oh so this is another cancer mode with no limits…”,
“the no skill hanzos…”,
“tank diffing…”
They don’t looks so bad on their own and if you include the context to each it’s just straight up absurd to get banned for these.
Guess you better use Discord than the ingame chat, because you can now get banned for stating an opinion. Wonder if I get banned for this post soon, lmao.
normally I would call it bad behavior. But after the sombra change, this game has become pure to play.
The sombra change has ruined her as a direct counter to widowmaker and instead has made her like the annoying spy from TF2. If one looks at the behavioral aspect of Sombra vs “The spy” they are now pretty much one for one, for the “dead ringer” spy design.
Which most people do not like it, and spend most of the match telling the person that is playing as “Dead ringer” spy to (no longer exist). because it makes players miserable to play in those matches.
RIght now the new bullying duo is Sombra+Moira duos that are doing this stunt.
If this is the case, Brig, Moira and “Cowboy” need to be fully reverted to FULL CC so it works.
Text/Voice chat isn’t looking at what is being said directly. It’s a computer program that looks at how many reports have been submitted against you. You may have had other players in other games that reported you for texting or voicing negative content. Solution is to turn off your voice and text chat, this way you won’t see or hear any negative activity and will be less likely to respond back to it and get more banned.
But she is better at killing widow now? Hitting a virus and a few bullets and she is dead. Assuming she isn’t being pumped with heals, in which case she isn’t dying to either version of sombra.

sadly the camera only recorded your hit so only you get punished.
walk around in armour (thick skin or chat off) and don’t show any bad signs to any camera. (Algorithm, its also easier to report someone by right clicking their name in chat, don’t make it easy on them)
Ok, maybe not f-word bit. But there is no way on god’s green earth you’re shocked you caught a suspension for your behaviour.

And all this talk of ‘it’s just my opinion!’ No, just no… You can gob off all you want, but that is not without consequences. You can’t trash talk people into oblivion and expect them to not get utterly sick of it and report you.
EDIT: in future, if someone starts in on you: report and block them, don’t talk back.

It does if you are openly being toxic or raging. Swearing falls under toxicity and if someone can get banned for just saying “EZ” then they definitely can for swearing.
@Kark saying “EZ” is directly mocking the losing team, while swearing is just swearing. Completely different things, but I see your point.
That’s not even an opinion. Akary is right. Go look up the definition of an opinion, because with this argument you’re no less ridiculous as getting banned for saying “oh so this is another cancer mode with no limits…”.
I know and will do so, but that’s the ridiculous part. Some are so fragile that you have to protect yourself from their protection.

It was on Route 66. The quote is on pair with how the whole team was talking. It was getting close to the last fight area, so I said to save our ults and like 10 sec later someone ulted 1v5 - he died so quickly that the character didn’t even end his voice line.

First of all it’s an opinion. Didn’t attack here anyone but the rules of the mode. 2nd I was playing with my friend and just typed this as soon as I noticed that there is no limit on roles - we laughed it off and after this match never played it again.

It was in some conversation after someone got killed by a Moira Orb(?) - not entirely sure - and started complaining. He was playing Hanzo and there was another Hanzo in the enemy team, that was pretty much just spamming in the general direction.

Our tank started complaining that whoever has better supports wins followed by a bunch “support diff”. Someone from the enemy team answered that supports are doing well and the problem lies somewhere else. When he asked where, I answered: “tank diffing…”
I dont believe swearing itself is against ToS. Theres a reason we have different chat filters. Its different when used against another player obviously.
