Why is Ana the only support with a hard CC normal ability? Sleep Dart duration being 30% less on Tanks doesn’t help from you being bursted down by the whole enemy team. They need to straight up rework Sleep Dart into some kind of other dart.
And to completely remove hard CC from supports, they’d also have to remove Brigitte’s shield bash stun during her ult.
This is the only ability she has to survive. She is slow, and she has no fade, guard angel (1 f… second), teleportation, immortality field, suzu, dash, shield, and etc.
Nade is a way for Ana to survive, and Sleep Dart would be reworked into another kind of dart. For example, an Enfeeble Dart that both slows and reduces the damage output of an enemy would help Ana survive.
Sleeping DPS or Supports is even more of a death sentence for them than for Tank, because they are stationary on the ground for up to 5 seconds, instead of 3.5, and they have way less health.
Reworking Sleep Dart into another kind of dart would be more fun for all roles on the receiving end of an Ana player. Ana players would still be able to defend themselves with whatever Sleep Dart would be reworked into.
I literally just played a game using Mauga and Sleep Dart into 1-shotted by the enemy team made me switch to Winston, but Ana can still easily hit Winston with Sleep Dart too, it happened several times and it lead to me being bursted down again. All an Ana has to know is to not waste their Sleep Dart cooldown trying to sleep you as you jump in and throw your barrier down, but after you use your barrier you become very vulnerable.
What annoys me above all else is firing the sleep dart directly at a nearby ult’ing enemy Reaper, only for him to get booped away by a team mate, causing the dart to miss. Happens all the time with Junk Rat and Lucio on my side lol.
Ana is a completely separate problem, but let us fix the crazy DPS numbers first. Ana needs a rework more than anymore. If she still sits on a 140% pickrate in the next month in GM, I really dont know what they are doing.
I’m ok with the sleep, I just think it needs to be even less long on tanks. All status effects should be way less on tanks across the board. Until then, the 1 tank format is a failure because of how easy it is to just brute force the enemy tank to death with all the CC your team has. Catching every single purple the Ana has is not fun gameplay.
