It’s that he’s cancer. He’s a feeder who’s whole game plan is to flank all game and fish for a cheap one shot on the enemy’s backline while being basically unpunishable no matter how hard he misplays because of his crazy health pool, healing, and damage reduction. And if he misses his cheap one shot then he’s literally doing nothing until his Hook comes off cooldown.
The hero sucks to play with and he sucks to play against, his design is horrible.
I don’t get why people complain about heroes like Doom when Hog exists.
I adamantly disagree with this assessment. Piglet is not a terrible disease, nor does he feed that much with his passive. And landing the one shot really only works on people who are positioned quite poorly. It is not my fault the enemies are so bad they cannot punish me. I can still one shot without hook.
The last part is fair enough. I just think you are mistaken about literally everything else.
I don’t blame hog, when someone is hooked and killed I see if there an incompetent D.va player nearby incapable of saving people from it.

It… is supposed to heal manageable damage and make him survivable as a tank who will be drawing around 3-5 peoples attention almost constantly. What do you want it to do? Be like Soldiers can? He would die almost instantly.

Basically doesn’t mean figuratively. Literally does now, which I’m not happy about. But basically means “in a general sense”. In which case he is not generally unpunishable. Lots of characters have stuns which will interrupt and ruin his TaB.
I’m speaking from several hundred hours of playing him in every mode. He is very punishable and it’s not even hard.
How about be balanced like it was at the start of the game when Hog was actually reliably punishable if he’s going to stay like he is now

Poorly positioned aka you are never allowed to peek the 1 entrance into the enemy side because roadhog is standing there waiting.
Sometimes he takes the liberty of walking to your side and peek to fish for a kill and then immediately walk away unpunishable.
His design is so horrible he would ideally need a whole rework. I’ll let the devs earn their paycheck.
Probably because the game has very much changed since then.
Hog has several vulnerabilities to several characters and if he’s out of position he’s away from his support and susceptible to the focused or partial attention of the other team.
It’s possible I’m bad at him. However considering I’m of average comp rank as well as having decent accuracy metrics, I would argue that if I have decent metrics on an OP character I should be ROCKETING up in ranks.

I think the 1 - 3 - 2 changes, that were tested would say otherwise. Not to mention the plethora of ways, his current kit could be changed to make him more of a Utility and a Tank.

What infuriates people like the OP is that characters like Hog are a skill check against positioning. If you have good positioning, then you won’t get hooked as much.
I get that no one likes losing control of their hero, but in this regard I find McCree and Doom to be FAR worse.

Its funny because cassidy and doomfist cant do anything to hog cuz they are meant to play within 20 meters and thats hog’s range.

Yeah well… He’s also one of the only fun tanks to play right now so blame Blizzard for their bad balancing.
