Its hard to aim in this game

more so than any other shooter. because in this game even the slowest characters are faster than most other generic characters in shooter games. and the biggest thing is how frequently you can jump. every other shooter there is a grace period between jumping which is too small or non existent in overwatch.

Play Moira, get play of the game and full gold medals :))
Oh and destroy any support/dps 1v1 xd.

Jumping people are the easiest to kill. When they jump you know exactly where they will be for your head shot.

The only exception to this is Genji, but this is his whole purpose!

That means it’s harder for everyone else too and if anything you’ll be better at aiming in other games

am not complaining btw. am just stating a fact.

I’m trying so hard to get jumping out of my habit - cuz it does make you easier to shoot.

it depends on which hero your playing against.

hitscan. sure. everything else. no.

What makes it hard is that each hero has his own hitbox and movespeed.

Jumping makes aiming (relatively) easier. It’s the fact that a character can go from running 100% one way to 100% the other way instantaneously without a transition or acceleration period that makes it hard to aim in this game.

Every single hero other than Genji and Tracer have exactly the same move speed.
Where did this idea that heroes have different move speeds even come from?

I have to disagree
It’s easier to land a hs with Reaper when an enemy jumps cuz you know where he’s gonna land
It’s easier to track people with beams on Zarya/Sym who jump (waaaay easier then the enemies striffing)
It’s easier to land Hooks, bashes, firestrikes (cuz you move slower when you jump)

If you’re not pressing space every second during an important game, you’re no doing sufficient to win.

Jumping gives you a predictable trajectory because airborne players have movement acceleration. Grounded players don’t, so they can go from full speed left to full speed right in an instant. That’s why aim is so hard.

Honestly this game feels slow compared to TF2

You haven’t played unreal/quake if you think this game aim is hard.

Jumping doesn’t mess up the aim at all, you jump to slow your momentum it makes it easier to both hit and get hit.

I would love to see dimishing retuns (the grace period you mention) on crouching actually, the a-d crouch spam is so cancer in this game

Put your settings on low and play at render scale 75% don’t go below that, it gets grainy. Low settings with textures at high.

It will make the enemy borders pop (they are wider, look at how big they are on your favorite streamers), aiming gets easier.

Pixel density is why aiming in this game seems so hard, if you play on low settings it will reduce how hard your eyes need to work and get you more frames.

One of Kabaji’s early videos about top 500 settings covers this

at about 49 s is where he covers settings, but the whole video is worth a watch.

Beyond that you want to make sure you have a mouse sensitivity that is appropriate for your reaction time, I would suggest trying the PSA method to come to it.

He covers a lot of other concepts about aiming too, if you look through his channel.

Also jumping enemies are easier to hit as they have a predictable path downwards after they hit the peak of their jump.

Eh

As a new pc player aiming is not that hard. Like at all. It can be a little painful sometimes because my muscles aren’t used to it…so I’ll just shake it off

I like paladins too and enemies can move way more rapidly. But Paladins also has hitboxes the size of D.Va for even its slimmest heroes

I also don’t play anymore fps than that though unless it is pve focused. I find it inexplicably difficult to track enemies in games, Overwatch is not really an exception but an outlier.

It’s why I never played Fortnite/Siege and stuff tbh. Not because my aim is trash, but because I can barely see targets, let alone track them

Jumping is bad against EVERY OTHER HERO! Actually , jumpig opponents are a projectiles hero wet dream!

The only hero that should jump to make him harder getting killed is genji. And even a Genji must first learn to use the second jump approriate.

Edit: oh and btw. you ARE complaining and your facts is just a wrong oppinion.
