I’m not talking balance much because I only really play custom lobbies now. No reason to voice balance issues when I don’t play the main game. I’ll still voice a need for progression and cosmetics because the game desperately needs casual grind.

I still hold my beliefs that Reaper is horribly designed. I just see no need to continue saying the same thing more than once unless changes are made to the game that impact him (either directly or indirectly).
I don’t care enough about other characters to go out of my way to complain about them unless I see lots of people spouting nonsense about a characters balance with only surface level understanding of said character.

If anything i’ve seen this month a tech mvp and a blizz mod respond to a thread here so that’s a plus.
Maybe when all MR glazers and NErf x hero people will be gone more devs will come back here

That’s the funny part, it’s why people didnt like me on here to start. No one can even guess what I’m like with my online identities (such as gaming communities), so they project me as the community.
Let me put it this way, in the Minecraft community I can get heaps of likes anytime I chat. I love minecraft and it’s wholesome, how can I say anything bad about MC? In WoW I was actually a respected member for a long time and was “an elite” and regularly chat with “the elites” even had mods used that I assisted with developing used in RWF. Yet I get reported and banned in the overwatch community

This goes for any opinion, streamer or otherwise; your experience per-hero is going to be vastly different from someone on a different skill level
Grandmaster’s Sojourn is indistinguishable to Silver’s Sojourn, or any other hero. Especially heroes with wide skill floors/ceilings
if this was true for OW2, then we wouldn’t have gotten as many sojourn buffs as we have gotten.

I think it has something to do with people caring less and playing other games (Rivals mainly), so there are less voices and without a streamer to hate on, those threads get less attention. Its simple as that.
Yes and no. Its easier to listen to people who resonate with a lot of people (people who like the streamer and agree with them), then to listen to the none existent community. People are never speaking with one voice and its hard to even get basic feedback. Its easier and more efficient to look at data, general community sentiments, pro players and CCs and then go with the optimal route.
Its a reaction. The game is in the same kind of state for now close to 6 months. People are tired of trying to explain why X or Y is a problem for the Zs time.

The fact so many people have left overwatch 2 in droves to the other game means that the devs have ignored the community in a devastating way. Can they get those players back? maybe, but the devs aren’t very cognizant of what gamers want to the point of balancing all the fun out of the game
Well I’m coming back I think.
Rivals has disappointed me too much by making my favorite character the worst character in the entire game, and they have no interest in ever changing this.
The Rivals community is also insanely toxic. Everything I post now in their subreddit is immediately downvoted to oblivion by some silent non-posters that hate me for some “bad takes”, and almost nobody sees anything I post because it’s immediately shot straight down to the bottom. Any reply I make goes down to like -4 immediately no matter what the content of it is.
The people that do see it are just like 5-10 people, different every single time, that are literally only there because they didn’t read the content of my post, only saw the title, and go in to tell me how stupid I am.
I’ve blocked around 50 accounts on the subreddit and I still get many people every single day coming in to tell me how stupid they think I am.
At least I can make comments here without going to -12 and a bunch of people calling me trash, stupid, and whatever other insults they allow over on the subreddit.
There used to be tons of criticism and comments about balance here.
But as the years go by, you realize that the devs don’t actually read anything written here. That all of the underlying issues that caused you to complain in the first place will never be fixed or addressed. And no matter how long you patiently wait for Overwatch to make a big comeback & turn back into the game you first fell in love with… It’s never going to happen.
People have given up. Out of all things, hope dies last… But it still dies.

i’m only adding my pebble to the wave of change that may or may not grow big enough to make devs do something about things i’d like changed.
it’s hard to think i could make them think like i do, but an honest nudge i will give.
You still play Overwatch? I thought you just showed up here occasionally to pray at the shrine of Reinhardt, hoping to hear his voice again.
