The MM is supremely bad in OW2. They just need to tighten it but they refuse.
The 80% of this playerbase’s DPS players can and will wait for a fairer game!
Matchmaker can do so much with a flawed role and hero design.
Also Blizzard doesn’t care about match quality anymore.
If you look at something like forcing people to queue “All Roles” to level up the BP, you’ll understand their short term thinking.
That type of monetization trades match quality for money: quite literally.

forget MM, solos vs. stacks, or balance…
they literally can’t ship 10 without pooling across all platforms and regions.
They can do all their little XvX vs YvY experiments and balance every role, but the game will still remain an unplayable pile of trash until they start completely reworking matchmaking. They need to scrap the current MM entirely, bin EOMM for good and start from scratch. No rigging, no forced wins/losses, just a system based purely on skill and fair matchups, not player retention at all costs.
