It would be nice to finish the season with at least 50% WR

Doesn’t look like it’s possible though. Looking over my last 42 Comp matches, my record is 14-28. In other words a 33.33…% WR. It’s not just my LW WR that’s suffering anymore. It’s my overall WR across all three roles in general regardless of hero pick

I would say I’m taking a deserved break after I finish the drive, but I know I would be lying. I’m going to keep grinding away at the impossible because I can’t stand that negative number

Have you tried winning more games?

This is my latest match. Hanaoka. Go ahead and focus on my 8-8 on the board (my deaths only went up that high at the very end because I was desperate and had no morale left). Go ahead and ignore the DPS’ ratios. Go ahead and ignore the fact that I was in the thick of everything and STILL had the lowest deaths on my team. Pay no attention to the fact that I somehow managed to mitigate more damage than A SIGMA

Here, have some more from earlier at Colosseo

I was on the front lines doing everything myself, and once again still had the lowest deaths on my team, tied with one of the Supports (my duo BTW). Over 19,000 mitigation in 10:41. More damage and elims than anyone else on the team (including OVER TWICE AS MUCH damage and twice as many elims as one of the DPS)

Now let’s look at a DPS match, shall we? Runasapi

I got 4 final blows. THREE of them were solos. I was constantly keeping the enemy distracted, turning things into at least a 4vs3 most of the time and yet the enemy barrier just kept pushing up and up and up with no contest. I outdamaged our Rein. ON TRACER. That should not be happening

These matches are just garbage upon rubbish upon trash

My question still stands.

Have you considered not to play with your duo? Maybe the anchor is too heavy for you this time.

My answer still stands.

I usually do play solo. It’s exactly the same, which is why I decided to try duoing. Apparently you get more Drive score when you’re grouped anyway, and even with a low WR like this we’re TECHNICALLY making progress in the event at least. It’s just miserable

After I reach the last checkpoint of the drive, I’m going back to focusing 100% on Support. Even if I can’t make it to a decent WR this season, then at the very least, I want to go out fighting and not giving up like a coward

I feel like the MM for Comp is a bit broken. It almost feels like QP has a better MM sometimes…

Yikes. A Sojourn with fifteen deaths. :eyes:

I haven’t played Comp this season and, uh, I think it’s going to stay that way if there’s a danger of that kind of lobby.

… so where’s your forced 50/50?

not a jab at you… just noting that this can happen

That’s nothing; our third match of the day was a Route 66 match where our team literally couldn’t exit spawn on the first attack point :skull:

I wish I kneeewww

So I just had an interesting experience a couple matches ago. So I’m still playing with Fancy, my duo. I decided to focus on just playing Soldier of all heroes, ended up getting super focused all of a sudden, and we’ve been winning slightly more, but still in the negative. For the sake of thinking outside of the box, I convinced her to try playing Mercy and giving me some blue beam to work with

The results were legitimately scary. The first couple of matches were good, a win and a loss, but then the match AFTER that (Paraíso)…

25 final blows. I was completely shredding everything like I was possessed. I was practically panicking at her over Discord because I was scared of us getting in trouble over me doing so well :joy: :sob:

SOMEHOW THAT STILL WASN’T ENOUGH TO WIN IT. Though to be fair I totally messed up the last fight because I was starting to get very timid by that point. Anyway, after that insanity I requested that she stop playing Mercy with me for now because I was legit frightened. I felt like an accidental smurf

I’ve had a 50% winrate all season, it’s been pretty brutal lol

Hazard is still fun though

What I see with you on Tracer is you’re a flanker, but LW and Kiriko each had only two deaths. So, mission not accomplished. Now, I’m not saying that’s an easy duo to stomp with Tracer. What I am saying is you weren’t providing value, your supports were the ones dying instead. You should have swapped.

The Colosseo one isn’t on you though. You had a reaper/mei. That’s useless in that situation.

Dang, that Moira was farming you guys

I had a rough season, too. I was the weak link on DPS for several games. I think I played too much Rivals for a while where nobody knows how to play and nobody cares, so putting time into OW for the competitive drive snapped me back to actually good opponent reality. I’m finishing on master on all roles, at least, but dropped from M3 to M5 on DPS this week bleh.

Anyway, some seasons are just rough ones, but there’s still stuff to learn here and there. For instance, my favorite Mauga counter is now Ramattra, so I got that going for me.

I used to live on the flanks hunting for the supports. It just led to me having very little uptime and hardly contributing. So I decided to focus more on the situation in front of me and shoot whatever the best target in my area is, working towards their backline while fighting if I’m able to

But now none of that matters because I’m just instalocking Soldier on DPS, because obviously I’m not good enough to play Tracer yet

Oh wow I didn’t even notice that ridiculous number of elims she had. I was busy having to deal with everything at once though so my mind was elsewhere. :skull: But I do remember seeing her around and even stunning her out of her ult, so it’s not like she was sneaking behind my back

Yeah every game of it I played was like this. Unironically Moth Meta had better MM and as opposed to waiting 2-5 minutes for flex queue in 5v5 RQ, it’s always less than 30 seconds. :joy:

Girl, I’m more focused on the 44 elim Moira. Woman had a hand in every death. Lock her up.

OK, we caved. Fancy ended up playing Mercy with my Soldier again and it was once again insane. :sob: Just under 14 minutes, 21 final blows, 1 solo, and a win this time. Finally finished with the Drive

What I don’t fully understand is that when Fancy is beaming me on Mercy, my accuracy actually feels slightly higher. I think it might be because I know I can trust her to not randomly abandon me for no good reason, so I’m less prone to panic aim. Also not feeling like I’m under pressure to hit as many shots as soon as possible or else I lose my blue beam privileges, like how I feel when a random Mercy beams me
