It warms my heart

Bring back OW1 with 6v6 with no new stuff.

OW2 with 5v5 with all reworked heroes and new content.

IDK if you have any grasp of the actual numbers of the playerbase mate, but since you seem to be ultra hyper clueless about these numbers, Im going to go on a “hunch” here (call me crazy) and I will claim that 106 likes vs the hundred THOUSANDS playing the game because they like the current format are a minority.

Not in this universe but hey, live your dream. 2023 its coming, lets see if they roll back to 6v6.

PS: I can also remind you of how wrong you and the outrage crew/doomers are. Just because you are “kind of” right once in a while, doesn’t mean that you have quite a lot of claims that didnt happen cough cough, OW2 dead on release , cough cough.

I’m saying none of your silly posts have many likes.

Something something sample sizes, and all that jazz.

Seethe harder

One, that is a troll post.

Two, I count 564 likes. I’m not sure what you’re trying to compare.

Three, what does that thread have to do with 5v5. It’s a topic about harassment and blaming men for a problem everyone does.

Oh god you think those “likes” are a validation to your claim? OOF.
Again dude, if that makes you happy, live your dream while the rest of the hundred THOUSANDS of players keep playing this “so bad 5v5”.

Cope harder.

Good things come to those who wait. Or those who installed the plugins 2 years ago.

It just needs a graphical upgrade really.

Including animations etc. And some changes to how you move. Head bob? It’s all visual gimmicks but it works.

Even playing the new Halo vs the old Halos you can “feel” the differences in terms of the graphical immersion on movement.

That is the main things TF2 needs, the base game design is fine.

30 likes. 500 odd some comments. I’m saying this threads got a pretty fantastic ratio of likes. Because this opinion is quite popular

Hey, its your alls gamer funeral. The game is more or less already dead seeing as they had to blow open the matchmaker sr gap to keep queues going after a few months

It is, always has been, and always will be your alls doing the more this franchise bleeds.

I just hate that you all squandered something truly special

Ah, I see what you are saying now.

Well, I think it’s indicative of actual ratios of people who agree with a topic.

Usually an extremely vocal minority will attempt to dominate the conversational space, without it actually being a fair representation of people who share those beliefs.

So, often times we might say something is popular when in truth it is something a lot of people are saying very loudly, and in actuality a minority of people agree with it.

Very typical in political discussions.
It’s certainly one thing this community doesn’t need.

It still needs tweaks on every element even if you think the game is perfect the way it is (every element can be improved for modern times) and some QoL changes (don’t know, don’t ask lol) so it would attract the most pickiest of players and even the younger ones that won’t touch “grandpa’s game”.

Just don’t build on top of the old engine and it should be solid.

Not to intentionally have a hot take, but this is almost exactly how you build the opposite of something solid!

The engine is like the foundation a house is built on. Removing the foundation will essentially destroy whatever is on top of it.

I just don’t understand why we should stop at 5v5. If 5v5 is “better” than 6v6 because of lower queue times, and lower time to kill, then 4v4 would be even better by every metric. And why stop there if 3v3 is possible. It could be 1 Tank, 1 Damage, 1 Support. No need for 2 of each. If we want true “balance”, 1v1 is the ideal. We could even take away the objective and call it “Deathmatch” to make it more interesting.

Fair point.

Just spit balling ideas.

I have thousands of hours on TF2. Reinstalled it a few times over the years I’ve been playing ow, yeah it feels very dated and I can’t see myself playing it for more than an hour ever again. The glory days of that game are long gone, ironically it shares almost all of ow’s monetization problems but is also a slow, clunky, and abandoned mess of a game at this point.

And this is where I think a new company or group of devs should take the chance and make the next spiritual TF2 successor. If Valve won’t do it then let someone else pave the way for a new 20-40 player team combat game.

Of course it will take some players away from 5v5, some players preferred 6v6 and would go back to it. Which would make queue times worse for 5v5 and also 6v6 would have bad queue times from not many people queueing it and most tanks being in 5v5 still. This isn’t the own you think it is.

If Devs let some Mercy players choose to play Mass Rez Mercy instead, some would. Doesn’t mean it’s better lmao just means some people preferred it…

I would rather not have worse queue times for everyone, no. You got me so good !!

But luckily its not happening so that’s good :hugs: Happy new year btw! xx

I won’t grow to love it, I’m going to keep complaining about 6v6 returns, time and time again they show they will change things if people whine loud enough. Just gotta keep those vocals yelling and I can see hope at the end of the tunnel.

The one and only time they didn’t change something due to player complaints.
