Ah, I just really wanted to get into Game Design as a career, but I bailed on it in High School because of the weak job security.
I actually have worked as a business analyst for Fortune 500 companies for the last 10 years and get paid better, with more free time, and better job security than I would if I was in the Game Development industry.
But I still appreciate game design for the Art of it. Also I got crippling ADHD with probably a bit of Autism. So what you’re experiencing from me is commonly nicknamed as “HyperFocus”. Which is great, but you don’t really get a choice of what it’s aimed at. (Kinda like when people Wikipedia search stuff and then get into a feedback loop of searching)
Also debating videogame “politics”, is a lot less depressing than actual politics.
I’m just a weird guy with a strange hobby of “Fantasy Football” equivalent “Videogame Dev Simulator” on tryhard mode, after decades of doing that.
Except instead of collecting trains, or figurines, it’s solving puzzles with a multibillion dollar gaming franchise as the toy pieces.
