Can we please get a definition of toxic. Its not when your teammates ask you play something that is going to be effective. its not when you ask for heals. Its not asking for swaps. All this seems to do is get your whole team calling you toxic. ITS NOT TOXIC. No i dont have to be nice about it. You are soft throwing the game. Its a team game. Make switches. Its not fun to lose this game because you want to be selfish. What, You cant play that character well then you aren’t ready to play comp. Its a team game. Please start playing like it. I am so sick of people soft throwing games because they want to be stubborn. I hate being falsely reported because I want a team that works. This just makes people want to quit or but accounts to play characters that suck and this cycle just continues. Please give us something to fix this. Everyone is over it.
There is no thing as soft throwing. Throwing is an intentional act. Playing badly is not the same as throwing.
None of that is toxic on itself, I agree with you.
Now that is toxic.
Yes, you have to be nice about it. On the other side of the screen is another human being just like you. Give them some respect.
It’s called “make a 6-stack”. No more random people messing with your game. While I agree the game should had a LFG feature, its not that hard to find players around your rank and region that play in the same time as you.
Except every time someone says “Make a 6 stack” it’s NEVER a viable option. It’s been proven time and time again that the OW match making system isn’t meant for groups of that size. Does anyone remember that Brazilian 6 stack from about a year ago? They were top 500 going up against silvers and golds.
That’s a bit extreme yes, but eventually you’ll wait so long for a que that the game will simply search for other 6 stacks. It doesn’t take rank into account at that point. You could be Plats v Masters.
Maaaaaan the other day someone didn’t say “hello” to someone in the spawn room spamming hello in voice and that person got tilted just in the spawn room and threw the game lol!
I don’t know if its the age group or just the younger crews but they seem to get tilted off anything thats why I don’t say anything unless its related to the enemy.
Well, it depends on how you ask it! First, let’s talk about swaps if you see a Hanzo in your team and you asked to switch from spawn ( before the game begin ) then yes that is annoying and it will lower the chances of him switching. Give him a chance let him a try; it might work! Now let’s say he didn’t do so well, look at his profile and look for his mains. Then him nicely if he can play that hero. A lot of people will do that. Now if you yelled at him and said “Hanzo you suck switch off” he would throw. No one will accept that kind of language and he will cost you the game. In fact let me rephrase that, YOU cost yourself the game.
2- What is considered effective might not work, not everyone knows how to play every character. I suck at main heals but I try my best, however, when I am on main heals we normally either loose or struggle to win. I picked the effective hero but I don’t have the mechanical skills or the brain set to play some heroes.
3- Asking for heals, I love that one, your healers will try their best to heal you. They don’t like to see that giant red thing on their screen. However, sometimes that just can’t. Moria: will run out of heals; Ana: barriers and walls will stop her; Mercy: everyone tunnel vision her.
4- If your team is calling you toxic then you might be toxic remamber it’s just a game you are not playing for OWL just chill and have fun. Best players are chill players.
Actually you do have to be nice about it OR you are toxic.
FACT- no one has to switch because you ask them.
Its not not throwing etc, Blizzard has already addressed this.
I can pretty much tell that you don’t ask but demand- in that case, I would not blame them for saying no or ignoring. You can’t be rude or toxic and expect a stranger to do what you say.
You are not their boss… reality. You are just some stranger in a game.
gonna be honest, if you need me to heal, we are going to lose
i like tanking, ill dps in a pinch, but i cannot heal well and have no interest in learning it
ill do it, ill do it poorly, and we will lose. if your ok with that then ok!
People playing characters poorly on purpose is throwing! We have all seen people do this. OH you’ve never played doomfist. You want to do that now. Sounds like a great idea. Healers who dont heal is throwing. This happens a lot. If you are playing a healer and you go run off flanking to get kills instead of doing your job you are throwing. Throwing isnt just sitting in spawn or jumping off of cliffs. No you dont need to be nice. I never said I was mean but I’m not going to be happy about poor teamwork and bad play. Are you not allowed to be upset? I understand I am not their boss but I play my role (usually tank.) Please define toxic? I define and has always been this from since the beginning of gaming. Toxic is attacking players on a personal level its not asking for simple requests. I have never signed anything saying i need to be my teammates mom and tie their shoes.
I disagree with all what you said except that last statement:
Actually you do need to be nice- if not, that is on you and you can be reported for abusive chat and harassment. If you ask in a rude way- that is on you- if you tilt because they say no- that is on you.
You can’t control the other person- only yourself. You learn this with age and maturity.
Not being nice and being mean are two different things. You first need to understand that to continue this conversation. I
tell people the truth. The truth is neither mean nor nice. It is just the truth.
No, it’s not toxic to ask for people to switch.
But it is toxic to ask people rudely to switch.
You have to ask them nicely, or else YOU are toxic.
But you are not a friend and they don’t have to listen to you…
You WANT something from them.
Your attitude in here alone, I wouldn’t give you squat.
You are not entitled or owed anything… reality.
And if you tilt, there are consequences.
Blizzard backs people choosing their hero- and it has to be proven that it is throwing… not just playing bad. If they play Doomfist for the first time in comp- yes it sucks but its not throwing, if you report someone for that, that is a false report.
I am not wrong. I am not toxic. I just tell the truth
If you said: “You first need to understand that to continue this conversation.” I will leave voice chat and do whatever I want. I don’t work for you and I will not take a lecture from you.
Your opinion is not truth/fact its just opinion.
Important to know the difference, mate.
Not my mate. You must be one of these throwers playing in all of these games.
If I could I’d block you right now, your persistence on pushing your subjective “truth” onto teammates who would do much better without having to hear you force demands as you’d like since you have judged said demands to be superior to whatever other people think.
Players like you instigate so much more toxicity than any player that doesn’t speak and just plays whatever they want.
There is one thing common in all your games and that is you.
Never heard that one before. In my games when I have throwers. Its typically my whole team asking this player to switch. I guess they must be mean too.
