And really nothing you can do about it. This game feels extremely oppressive. It’s like the system expects you to carry games in order to rank up, but the game has evolved to the point where it’s nearly impossible to carry. Way too many shields and random no-skill abilities make, you know, actual skill seem worthless.
On top of that, they’ve got smurfs and derankers all mixed together in the middle. I feel they should start everyone at the bottom and let people rank UP and leave the BS behind for good.
And before Role Queue, if your tanks were failing you could switch to a tank to help out. Or any role. Now, it feels like a hopeless game and there’s very little you can do to win when one or two players are really dragging the team down.

Reaper can be neutered by good sleep darts and anti nades. Lucio can boop away. Baptiste can deny ult with drone and double headshot him, if aim is good.
Brig one trick is unfortunate, but lots of one tricks in this game. What supports do you play?
Game does definitely feel harder as a flex player. Now you need to be able to play half the heroes per role in order to be flexible enough to deal with lots of game variables without ability to simply switch role.

The only ""skill “” that matters now is the one of having luck about getting teammates who can play the role they queued otherwise is just a waste of time.
Yup. Been on the end of a double barrier bastion beating with Hog and DVA on my team.
You need good mobile dps to flank and dive the Bastion behind the barriers. Junkrat is great at this.
Do you play Baptiste? I think that he’s got good carry potential with his ult on 30 second cool down. And if your aim is good you can deal with Pharah and other issues yourself.
I’m crap with him. Still learning him. But has awesome potential.
Sometimes there’s a string of unwinnable games. Had five in a row once. Teams full of idiots and feeders. It happens.
Then had a ten game streak of super easy wins to a career high.
Matchmaker very flakey, for sure.

You can’t make your teammates win your games for you. Figure out how to win them yourself.
I just won a game and got back into Diamond tonight with my tanks being Hog and Hamster against a Widow/Junkrat.

That’s the problem I have with players who can’t think outside of the box.
My guess is the first combo is attacking and the other is defending?
What are the good at? Going in.
Do they have time to do it? No they don’t.
Sure they could go double shield to close the gap on bastion but it’s on their team to disable that combo anyway, their job is to make space. Enable them and they will make space.
Every Hero has a purpose. If you want Hog and D.Va to get value you just have to play with them. They can’t get there fast enough? Go Lucio and speed them or even better when you dps go Sombra and hack that Bastion.
Tanks are mainly there to enable their dps but nobody gives a damn about tanks. Which is why I don’t play tanks anymore all you get is bot like heal and if you die its your fault.
How would you feel if you are the only one shooting the Pharmercy with a doomfist in your neck while your team is minding their own business.
Or supports getting harassed by dive heroes even though they play mobile supports like Lucio or Moira.
It’s a TEAMgame but all you hear is complaints about other players without any efforts of supporting them in their playstyle.
Nobody guaranteed you a free climbing experience with role lock. It actually was supposed to become harder, since you have even less control over the game.
Everytime I play a match or two, I realize why I quit this game. It’s moving over to no-skill gameplay and heroes.
Im more annoyed by leavers , ive made a note so far ive had 8 leavers in 7 separate games so thats say 120 sr gone through no fault of my own (one of the games we won 5 v 6 lol) now some will say sometimes the enemy team has a leaver yes so far 1…1 game and guess what it was 6 v 5 until 2 left on my team then 4 v 5!

More like getting teammates who want to win and won’t throw, goof-off, or troll your own team.
Sounds like your supports need to position better.
I switched to dps and got 2 wins, 48 Sr each win, almost got back to plat, then two games where no one was in voice, so those two were losses. Those two 48 Sr games were worth it, even though i had to wait almost 20 minutes each.
At this point, I’m also thinking that having so many healers and tanks queing up quickly is making for worse matches in the long run. Those dps games I played felt way better than the majority of when I play anything else.
