Anyone else get a 25 (give or take) GB update on PS4? Deleted the update and restarted it multiple times but the amount stays the same

Same here its the same size as it was last year

It’s a console only issue, everyone got a 5GB update on PC (600 MB if they downloaded the 4.5 GB prepatch)

Its 25GB for everybody on Ps4. Only a bit under an hour for me fortunately.

Console users have large patches during this seasonal event as its downloading the content from all of the PVE Brawls again. PC players don’t have to download as much.

Which makes me question why they don’t keep the files from last events and just lock them off.

I have confirmed that Blizzard is aware the console patch is exceptionally large and is intended.

Why didn’t console player got access to a pre-patch? We get 20 more GB to download…

This is because the update is handled through the console network for each console. PCs are managed by the Blizzard BattleNet App Launcher

I dunno where to question this, can I ask you since you are here? I questioned this before, but devs never answer to this.
Is this possible to add language packs to console version? Many games have this option.

I don’t have any comment on that. I think language versions are restricted to the language and region setting of the account and console in question.

Yeah, each disk version has english and regional languages. I am learning Korean and I need to buy korean disk to hear another language. But it’s really expensive. PC players as I know can easily change it in settings.

I changed my console’s language just for this game to be in English. Couldn’t handle that dubbing! I recommend you also, you can quickly revert it at any time.

They do not care about console what so ever. It took them a year to put in a Report Feature. Apex was able to put one in less than a month on both PC and Console. They only made a console version to get more $. Once they had it from console players, they took it and ran.

Yeah, I did it too. English version sounds much better than my native in game. But I really want to hear another ones, like Korean or German : (

Actually the download is so big on console because they updated the base game engine hence the reinstall i have talked with blizzard about this. And they said this was the only way to update it. Check reddit under the search for " THe Reason Why 25gb Console patch READ!!
