It actually disgusts me that not even Reaper can 1v1 a Brig

A tank buster and assassination hero can’t take on a tank support hybrid.

Brig just stun combos Reaper then holds the shield up and waits for stun to come off cd again then repeats if the Reaper hasn’t already retreated. Then you have dead Reaper.

And yeah, her barrier can tank long enough to get the next stun with Reapers rate of fire and inconsistent damage / spread. Most damage you get off on her is healed from her passive.

Tfw Brigitte has a better lifesteal than the dude who feeds on souls / life force.

You can, but you have to sneak up on her and get the drop on her, maximize your shots, avoid getting bashed, avoid the flail, and burn through her health and/or shield as fast as you can ( so point blank). Its extremely hard to do, but so long as the brig is under your skill level by at least a rank- It should be somewhat doable should rng be in your favor. I’m not being sarcastic either. You can 1v1 her as reaper during a teamfight, but you have no choice but to use the method I said above- any deviation= being sent to spawn.

You’re forgetting the part where even if she puts down her shield and runs in your face, her armor will get her out easily since her hitbox is relatively small and she takes 0.5 damage until her 50-200 armor is removed. Yeah good luck doing that

The thing with this situation is. It isn’t 100% Brig’s fault.

It’s both, Reaper should be strong enough to at least stand a chance against Brigitte. But the dev’s only give him a tiny buff every 5 months

Yeah, it’s possible, just extremely hard to. You can bait out the stun, and try to go to town on her, but she tanks so much because of the Barrier you’re better off just backing away than attempting it most of the time.

Armor effectively halves Reapers damage output till it’s gone though. Makes it hard for Reaper to get damage done. Especially on smaller hitbox heroes where some of your shotgun pellets can miss reducing damage dealt even more.

If you can’t beat Brigitte as Reaper at point blank range, there’s something you’re doing wrong.

I think its fair that brigitte can be a duelist. That is her design. I do think her shield bash needs a longer cooldown though.

I do play it, my stats aren’t appearing atm for some reason.

Shield bash, flail, and armor are whats wrong. Flail and armor are fine- annoying, but fine. Shield bash is too easy to pull off with no risk when used. Even the other stuns have some risk level attached.

Yup.

Roadhog can miss his stun, leaving him vulnerable and essentially ult battery.
So can doomfist, leaving him very vulnerable, free kill if his other 2 are on CD.
McCree is easier than the other 2, but has a very punishing cooldown is misplayed.
I don’t see why Brig gets to have such a forgiving and easy stun.

It’s start of season so it’s pretty easy to get top rankings on less popular heroes right now (See Dafran #1 Torb 400sr below Fuey). I’ll probably drop in the rankings as the season goes on.

For a hero who’s even deeper into the CQC niche than Brigitte, AND is an already-underperforming DPS to lose to a support at his very own niche… it’s just plain disgusting and saddening as OP said.

I really feel bad for Reaper mains who have to put up with this garbage.
