Look, i understand that to be able to make two roles in this game and this 5v5 format work and be viable the 3rd one has to suffer, and this was proved many times in the past. I also understand that devs decided that it’s Support players time to suffer now but this is just too much!
What is the point of a role if it lost almost all the impact and play-making potential?? What is the point of role when it all depends on both Tanks and Tanks counter-swapping? They are totally fine with Tanks being broken and unable to deal with just for the role to be queued and played. How is this normal please?? How do you make a role intentionally super, super strong just to make ppl play it, when even Tank players agree that this does not make the role and the game more fun but only introduces more problems.
Support role lost so much and majority agree that it’s by far the hardest to climb and that in majority of the matches nothing depends on you and your performance. This needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP!
Just to be clear, which definition are you using for “playmaking?”
Because a lot of people tend to misuse it as a euphemism for “getting valuable kills,” instead of broadly referring to any demonstration of skill that tips the scales in your team’s favor (aka it can refer to scoring elims, but it can also refer to shutting down enemy ults, solo-contesting a point in overtime, or using defensive/supportive abilities to save lives).
+1 , Supports are in the corner since S9, only pampered tanks (inmortal raid bosses) and DPS (the passive god and the instakill Sombra).
It’s so terrible. Tanks are out of hand.
Loooool its litterally supports who decided how immortal tanks are. Support players had it good for years, they could afk at the back and get free wins.
OW2 came and yeah they had it rough so they got giggabuffed and decided everything, they still doin that now theyre just not as sustainable now.
Most supports will play no where near their team or play the worst pick in a scenario then blame their tank because theirs only one of them so its easier than accepting their own mistakes.
Srsly. Supports fail to realize that their role is under the same level of counterwatch as tanks. They’re just not in the front lines so they don’t notice it as much.
No we do realise it but it doesnt stop that it still feels trash
For instance right now. Dva sombra is everywhere. Supports are essentially forced to play moira brig or kiri because every other support gets farmed. We know this. But its trash for 2 players to only be able to pick from 3 supports every match.
When there is a hog or mauga it SUCKS to HAVE To play ana because without nade those heroes wont f”ing die
We know how to play the game!
But that just isnt enjoyable.
Games are meant to be fun
We want to play the new hero, we want to play different supports and can’t because we are forced to hardcounter the unstoppable enemy tank while babysitting our unstoppable tank every game or lose
Support solo impact has gone out the window. The whole support playstyle is pump resources into your tank, counter the enemy tank while trying not to die to a 700hp mech and perma invis assassin
That’s nice and all, but please keep that attitude out of comp. You are supposed to play to win in comp. The majority of games I’ve been playing have been miserable - win or loss - because the supports one-trick harder than any genji main ever could.
In EU yesterday, both Tank and Support roles were being offered 500 BP XP to queue. That doesn’t sound like they have enough tanks queueing even after making them stupidly unkillable and unfun to play against. And it has meant supports don’t want to queue either to be faced with a DVa or Winston diving them with nothing they can do.
They are not heading in the right direction at all.
What’s the point of imposing the logic of
“All heroes, in Role Queue, need to be balanced like a player can choose to swap between every hero midgame. Therefore the strengths and weaknesses of each hero, need to be roughly the same for the entire hero roster”
