Got hooked as a 275hp hero and deleted

I checked the replay like 5 times over in slow mo and there was no other damage source

Good aim should be rewarded in a “competitive” shooter. That’s A LOT of pellets to the head and not a lot of any of the things that prevent him from securing the combo. The stars aligned, you should die.

It should not be happening often unless you are just pissing off your teammates and getting outplayed by hook at the same time. I say let Hog keep his once in a blue moon combos that remind him of better days.

It’s like people go to bed and wake up the next morning forgetting that hog can hook you lol

If you’re in a fight with a hog, and he’s looking directly at you and strafing back and forth… hm… I wonder what he’s doing?? :thinking: Maybe he’s waiting for the hook cool down to finish??

And thrn you hide and wait till hog uses his hoom and if he doesnt you just keep hiding and hell never hook you.

Its so easy like… shut up athena, none cares about minutes remaining

Exactly! Hog can only ever use his hook against one enemy hero, so if that hero is you, just hide and stay hidden and the easy dub is yours! :sweat_smile:

You don’t even need to hide. It is so easy to dodge or bait.

Hog being able to one shot with hook again is absolutely nothing compared to the state of Winston, D.va and Zarya right now.

Most hog players bodyshot after hook , this one made an effort to actually aim for a hs plus it doesnt happen often and when it does its your fault for getting hooked in the first place

I always love this argument. So, no matter how good the hog is, there is no skill involved for him right? Skill is only required from me to dodge it.

It is easier to dodge hook than to use hook, so if you’re getting hooked you simply got skill diffed. Hog has to track you and predict your movement along with the time it takes for the hook to reach you.

All you have to do is strafe and bait, and that’s assuming you have a kit with 0 mobility.

But it doesn’t. I’m sorry, every one of his hitboxes is massive. If mechanical skill is something we need to reward with insane power, how about we buff Pulse Bomb to 400 damage so every squishy dies to it? Because Pulse is ACTUALLY difficult to hit.

The reason Pulse is 350 damage instead is because the difficulty in sticking it still doesn’t make an uncounterable one shot particularly fair. Same goes for Hog, but even more so because Pulse is infinitely harder to use.

Shoegaze is doing a challenge to make a thread complaining about every tank in the game. Personally I’m waiting for the Wrecking Ball and Doomfist ones.

GM-Champion games with Winston are a nightmare. His combos are deleting 250 HP+ characters. Really fun.

Hog should always be able to 1 shot. Especially considering it is a 3 button press, not a one shot.

you know what else is nuts boosting rein shield without nerfing something to his kit as compensation…when they increased his shield health they should of nerfed his damage in my opinion
