Issues with blizzard servers and M1

I play in the Americas Servers which has a hidden Singapore server in it. There is always a random disconnection during my competitive games and my blizzard account would auto log out due to losing connection and It would usually be quite brief about 30-60 seconds per disconnection and happens pretty frequently in a day and it always makes me disconnect from games and result in losing 50 SR in some cases which will get worse if the system keep detecting my “behaviour” and would punish me more harshly. I have been punished a few times for leaving due to this issues and there have been a few times it cause me to lose SR and suspended me even though I have reconnected to the game in time. Please fix this issues between blizzard and M1 Servers ASAP. I have been constantly been losing a lot of SR and unable to climb for the past month or more.

I’ve got the exact same problem as you, please also contact M1 support and inform them about this issue.

In the mean time you can try connecting to Asia servers for DC-free games, you might get connected to either Taiwan, Korea or Japan server depending on the matchmaking.

Also got the same problem as you. Initially I was unable to patch the game as it was alywas unable to connect to blizzard servers.
I’m also under M1 so maybe M1 could be the cause?
I also keep getting disconnected frequently during the game at random times

Yep it does seems to be an M1 issue from what we can gather so far. My friends in the same game but are on different ISPs were still connected in game while I got disconnected from the server. (All while the internet is still up)

Please contact M1 support and keep up the pressure for them to try and fix this issue.

Thank you for the reports! We have been tracking and gathering information for MobileOne connections. There has been one report so far where a VPN/different connection temporarily works around major connection or installation issues. This may be a temporary workaround until the issue clears up.

If we can go ahead and gather WinMTR tests while in a Training Co-op vs AI match with disconnections or high latency for 10-15 minutes, it can help us monitor the issue and connection. It is advised to reach out to the ISP and provide connection tests.

Yup same issue here as well. M1 and random dcs, losing so much SR.

I have already sent winMTR results to blizz, no updates…

I have also tried using VPN to test. Can confirm no dcs using VPN, but the free ones have a limited data amount, and I’m not exactly keen to pay additional just to play a game.

Just wondering if a fix is required on blizz or M1’s side, or both? I have yet to speak to M1 yet.

I would like to know what is the answer to the quote.

Side note: I have seen many forum posts on the similar issues and I believe that you have enough data to see the trend but the question now is which end is able to fix the issues…

Hi folks, first time posting here.

It’s definitely an M1 / MobileOne issue. I play with a group of friends almost on a nightly basis with discord on in the background. Out of a 6-stack, one other friend also uses M1 1gbps broadband and we both live in Punggol, Singapore.

Every time I get a DC problem, my M1 user friend also has the same issue within a few seconds. Both of us would check in with each other on Discord and we’d acknowledge that we both DC’ed. This can happen while people are screaming on discord i.e. having people constantly talk.

It’s been happening to us for weeks/months since Sept/October. I have yet to speak to M1, knowing their track record of bad technical service on the back end. Will be following this thread. All the best, fellow M1 users!

We also would like to know the answer to this question, which is why we are asking for winMTR tests which catch a disconnection. Without the information we’re asking for from multiple M1 users, we won’t have enough information to determine where the issue lies with accuracy. Please refer to Caterpepi’s post and gather the requested information for us.

Still getting similar looking WinMTR results after M1 made the routing changes. When the DC happens, there are momentary packet losses.

Somehow, there was no disconnection in my 2hours + session of this.

Hey Drakuloth,

Thanks for responding here. I’ve attached my test results on my personal ticket already, you can have a look there. If there’s anything more you need, please let me know.

Yes, I believe it was around that period this started. Didn’t happen last time, only recently, so it must be due to a recent change, either on Blizz, or M1’s networking side.

And for some weird reason only on comp. I’ve tried playing on arcade/qp but no dcs.

I believe you might have been connected to Blizzard’s NA servers based on these routes.

Definitely not, My ping was low but it just randomly disconnects my account from blizzard server but everyone else who is not under this ISP won’t be disconnected.

I meant the IP address you tried to reach with WinMTR is Blizz’s NA server. (24.105.30.129)

I haven’t had a single DC playing on PSE1 servers the entire day, hoping that the problem has finally been fixed for good. Anyone else had DC-free games as well?

I tried to winmtr yesterday but didn’t get a DC as well!

Nice to hear that, didn’t get a DC today as well.

Seems like we can finally get back to playing the game without fearing the dreaded random DCs.

I’m not going to call us 100% in the clear yet, but we appear to be getting less reports of this issue currently. If the problem comes back and you are on the M.1 ISP please reply with awinMTR test which catches a disconnection. We will see if it looks like the same problem or not.
