I have no idea how, no idea why but the matchmaking is experiencing bad time this season. I constantly get 5-11 losses on the way to update rank. Not a single rank update has been played with less losses yet. And it is not just me, I’ve asked a lot of people about this (friends, discord communities, and even in-game chat during matches) and they’ve reported the same thing lol.
Also, I play in plat 2, plat 1, and it is weird when opponents get masters and gm (why does it even happen?). By the way, I have no clue how I manage to stay and not drop down into gold with all these losing streaks (probably not only wins or losses themselves, but personal performance affects this too).
This is so frustrating and I’m even considering quitting competitive until the next patch or even the game, because the only mode I’m interested in is comp.
I hope, the devs are aware of this weird thing and will fix it soon
I dropped from Diamond 4 to Gold 1 this season. I have never experience such severe mismatching in all of my time playing Overwatch 1 & 2. Everyone is feeling it right now, even streamers are going on massive loss streaks. Unfortunately the devs will probably never fix it, and most likely drop a dev post full of skewed data telling us that the communities experiences are purely anecdotal.
Plat doesn’t exist. I’m not sure anything can really convince me otherwise. Matchmaking seems extra scuffed this season compared to last. But of course this is just my anecdotal experience. :^)
Edit: On my alt I climbed to plat 5 then went on a 15 game loss streak because I got tilted because the tanks were playing mystery heroes dropped all the way to gold 5. Climbing back up again but it’s painful and the discrepancy of skill levels in players in my games is wild.
The matchmaker has been broken for years, your account has just now started experiencing what 10’s of thousands of people have been reporting for years on end.
Wow, devs actually read this forum. They saw me saying I was still plat 2 with all these losses and fixed it. Now I’m gold 2. Just wondering how deep the game will bury me in the ground.
I was trying to be nice, but now I lost my temper. It’s just bull(poop). If this is your way of resetting ranks, this is the worst idea you could ever come up with, and the realization is even worse.
