Isnt buffing sym already destroys the double barrier meta?

If so, nerfing the heroes of the said meta isnt also a right solution in my opinion

I wouldn’t really say she received a buff to counter it anymore. The Tp cooldown doesn’t change much and she’s only able to hold her charge for 2 seconds longer, which I consider more of a quality of life kinda buffs, you get me?

I guess you could say she’ll be in the same state against double shield.

These are mostly quality of life buffs. Symmetra is still a very vulnerable damage hero and will be outclassed by every hitscan due to the power of burst damage in the game.

Stop being…well Sym mains.

A straight 2s decrease to teleporter cooldown and 2 extra seconds before decay begins are absolutely buffs and by no means are “QoL” changes.

Nope, think of double shield like GOATS with shields, Sym just gets run over.

I really do think the tp change is a quality of life thing tbh, considering many would prefer to have it reverted back to finite or having the cooldown pause halfway until destroyed.

the sym changes wouldn’t really change her interactions with current 2x shield anyways.

I understand this, I’d love for a Translocator revert.

Regardless, if they took 2s off the cooldown it would be a buff.

You don’t want one hero to counter a whole meta.

She’s more valuable in a double barrier setting than without it however it still isn’t enough to warrant picking her over Ashe, McCree, Genji, Widow, etc. They all supply more damage from a safer distance or bring more things to the table.

“OMG my guaranteed 12s hero down time is not 10s guaranteed hero down time” /s
meanwhile old 3.0 tp had much less down time without being a problem… low mobility on a low sustain and low effective range (yes I’m already including her slow orbs) hero isn’t going to end well. :man_shrugging: right direction, but not significant enough.

“OMG I can keep charge 2s longer” /s
but the issue with primary has always been and still is getting charge in the first place.
