Isn’t Ashe’s dynamite a bit too OP now?

I don’t see this mentioned enough.

When I play support, I realize how something that wasn’t so life-threatening before, has become OP.
I see lots of Ashe players now playing around dynamite to apply the dps passive to more targets. Considering the effect lasts over some time, this feels a bit too much to deal with and has become much more deadly imo.

A pretty silly thing has become quite huge now.

OP? Nah. You should’ve seen it in OW1. You could obliterate an entire team with it.

If I recall all they only dropped the explosion by like 25~ damage? From 75 to 50.

I consider it a bit overtuned RN, easily the best DPS cooldown in the game due to it being highly effective at applying the DPS passive + DoT to a group of enemies. Doesn’t help in the matter that she has a 0.08 hitscan hitbox too so she is very forgiving when it comes to aiming.

20 burn damage per second
Max 150/120 damage per use
20 - 50 explosion splash damage
65 - 87.5 burn + explosion splash self damage
25 m/s projectile speed
5 m radius
5-second burn

There was also a patch that made her dynamite broken as hell.

Damage over time effects are no longer mitigated by armor

  • Ashe: Dynamite

When damage boosted, her dynamite would do a crap load of damage especially in a tight group and more than enough to take out squishies in a team fight.

It’s way less powerful now after the damage reduction, and now with Suzu even less of a threat.

I always say Hello to the burning dynamite on the ground while backing off.

Sorry for the OT. I had to share it lol

Ooo and the April Fools patch where Ashe’s Dynamite just thanos snaps people?

Yeah I’d nerf the total tick damage or its duration. Lasts way too long and constantly applies the passive

5 seconds burning + 2 sec dps passive means that dynamite applies 20% healing reduction for 7 whole seconds, which for me is a little bit too much, especially considering how easily it is applied to more than one target at the same time.

You know what needs to NOT come back, Ashes TNT from last years April Fools it just stacked itself until you died

I don’t play Ashe, but I don’t have a problem with her dynamite to be honest

Ashe needs to have a reduction in bullet size and a reduction of TNT ticks and duration.

Dynamite is nice because in applies passive in an aoe and for a longer period of time due to the dot.

That’s the thing

Abilities are there for been taken seriously

Players should be aware that there’s an Ashe on the enemy team, and know they are going to be punished if stacking together

Its really no different than ignoring an active Pylon or a Drone, and then having a bunch of DPS newbs crying on the forums why Supports are so OP

Dynamite follows the same rule. It can cause a lot of damage, but on top of that, you are also charging her Ult. And as obvious as it might seem, that’s something you always want to deny to the enemy

They’re too slow with these changes, seriously. Ashe having 0.08 still is a joke and dynamite is arguably in its best state right now because of the DPS passive.

Yeah I know Tracer probably needs a tune-down herself but that’s harder to discern exactly how to go about it.

I mean I agree but this is clearly not fairly applied to every DPS hero. Even abilities with less power and more counterplay are constantly nerfed because people refuse to engage on their intended counterplay. Namely, constructs.

If weaker abilities in weaker heroes have to be nerfed, TNT should not be held on a pedestal.

If Blizz doesnt want Tracer to be oneshottable then they should just give the struggling DPS heroes the hindered debuff somewhere in their kit.

Don’t put ideas into their minds now. We might just end up with another dps passive that applies constant hinder next season

honestly dynamite for a while was a fine ability. its just that blizzard adding the unnecessary feature known as the dps passive kind of made the ability a bit overtuned now. it’s just blizzard ruining balance by adding features that no one asked for without tackling initial problems
