I feel like a lot of tanks just lose all ability to function when the enemy team has a zen?
Just making sure but bubbles can cleanse the discord temporarily right?

If anything I would say Zen is a counter to Zarya. Because his ult counters grav. Yea you can bubble to remove the discord but not really worth it. You should dive the Zen instead. Ball or Monke or Doomfist are the best. Zarya is ok if you have a Lucio you can run him over. In low ranks you can bully him easier because his team won’t help him out much.
Zen is the easiest to kill support. I would say zen doesn’t counter anyone but helps dps or tanks on single target focus. Every dps has the potential to kill him in the current metas played
I’d argue he counters tanks simply because discord orb makes tanks killable without having to first kill support. His weakness is he’s the most vulnerable support. He has no protection other than DPS and his kick. His head hit box is also perfect for spray type weapons (sombra, tracer, etc.)
Zen counters most tanks, but zarya really isn’t one except in low ranks. The higher you go, the more all players seem to be aware of and use cover. Zarya playing correctly will dip in, get some charge, dip out for a sec to recharge any lost shields, then dip in and get more charge. They repeat the process until they’re max charged or close to it. If they’re playing smart like that, the Zen orb will never be on them for more than a moment.
A good Zen is a nightmare though. Hit those headshots on discorded enemies and you’ll be set. At least until someone swaps to something that deletes Zen.
