My aim used to be decent. I noticed I started coming up short on some flicks/tracks a bit more frequently so I decided to clean my mousepad. A full sweep across my pad used to be just over a full 360 degree turn. It’s now over 1.5 turns (or a bit over 540 degrees).
My aim is now noticeably better.

yeah, i never really took that into consideration…but it makes sense really…all those micro particles and lasers and what not, good tip, i think i’m gonna get a new one anyways, since this one i have, is old, and small
True story. I wash mine once a week. Makes a huge difference.
Can confirm. I never thought it had anything to do with aim until I cleaned it, then I immediately noticed a huge jump in accuracy.
+1 can confirm. I use a hard pad so I feel any grit immediately, but even when I ran cloth it really does get to you after a while.

Truth be told, I’ve never had a problem save for when I spilled a drink on my old one and it got sticky. But you’re right, proper maintenance does extend to mousepads too lol
That’s true. I used to play on a flithy mouse pad, but the day I decided to clean it, a huge sudden jump in accuracy. I clean it regularly now.
Seriously, your mousepad is probably housing so many contaminations that you just never took notice. Things like sweat, water, hair, dandruff, dust, dead skin cells, coffee, soda, juice, oil, powders, grease, tobacco, and ash are all possibly on your mousepad right now, depending on your gaming habits.
Take your flithy mouse pad and scrub it with a detergent under a sink (not a strong one, just soap or shampoo will do).
I literally put food on my mousepad on the daily…Like, plates, sandwiches and stuff…Yucko lol.

I usually put my food on an empty area of my table, and that if I is decide to eat on my PC. Most of the time, it’s either my dinner table or on the living room couch where me and the wife watch Netflix while eating.
