I’m a DPS main who is in Silver, and my team played against a Widowmaker whose SR is 2784. The player’s name is HERDeMON. Of note, the time around 9:40 seems the most suspect.
I know very, very little about how cheat programs work in Overwatch. If this is cheating, is there a name of this type of cheating?
The player could very well just be very good, so I’m just curious. For what it’s worth, I am not accusing the person of cheating.
The person’s stats on Widowmaker for All Competitive Seasons show:
- Time Player: 7 Hours
- Games Won: 15
- Games Lost: 17
- Eliminations, avg/10 min: 21.53
- Eliminations per Life, best: 26
- All Damage Done, avg/10 min: 10,360
- Critical Hits, avg/10 min: 19.15
- Critical Hits, best: 42
- Scoped Critical Hits, avg/10 min: 15.32

Im sorry no one has replied to you yet. Unfortunately im at school but i will watch asap. But just looking off your description he probably isnt cheating. You are in silver so he probably was duoed with another silver to get in your game. He may just seem alot better than you so he might seem like he is cheating. Another possibility is that he may be lagging it can make your aim flick very hard and if the lag started when he was off a target then stopped when he was on a target looking like a hard aimbot.
It doesn’t matter if they’re cheating or not
Oh, I play with Platinum and Diamond players regularly because my Tank is higher than my Damage role. Also, the people in my group who thought he was cheating were all Platinum and Diamond players, whereas I’m more neutral about it and am thinking he perhaps is not cheating.
I’m not asking for reporting purposes or to call him out. I’ve fought a lot of Widowmakers and he’s the best I’ve seen in a while. I mostly just want to learn, and if he isn’t cheating, I’ll be rewatching the video to learn. Thanks.

The problem with stats are they are warped by things like: smurfing, deranking, new accs, etc.
Even a gold player will stomp their first few games against genuine new players before the MMR kicks in…by level 20 they’re back where they belong… 
That title is as neutral as I could make it without having it too long. I actually didn’t even report the person. Sorry if it came across as being offensive or aggressive.
“What do you think of this Widowmaker?”
“Is this Widowmaker cracked or is it just me?”
“Is this Widowmaker insane?!”
There’s lots of ways to phrase it without explicitly saying ‘cheating’

By the stats, it dosent look like a cheater. Only 15 scoped crits per 10mim, I can get higher than that in plat, and even higher if I smurf in silver. Hitting head shots on bronze and silver is much easier, because they dont strafe well, when I play with my lower ranks friends, they keep getting headshoted by a pretty average widow, but I barely got any body shots from the same widow, movements and awareness is very important to avoid getting killed by widow.
There are plenty of cheaters in this game. And it’s a well know documented fact that blizzard don’t care.
