To me, this sounds like inflammatory fan fiction (“fake news”) from a hysterical McCree main trying to stir up the D.Va main community over this ridiculous idea that keeps popping up lately: that McCree shouldn’t be just renamed, but killed off and removed entirely from the game. Again, just to kick a hornet’s hive to create chaos and distract from all the vitriolic ideas being slung around right now over their own favorite hero. “If they actually do delete my main, then why not try to get that other character I despise to no end deleted too? Then I can feel good again by laughing at their misery!”

There is no way they’re smoking D.Va. No way. I wonder what they mean, though, in that tweet, “D.Va will be returning as a fully automated drone in the upcoming sequel.” I don’t like that.
Maybe a rework to her kit so there’s no pilot D.Va, just like how Reinhardht is getting tweaked in Overwatch 2. So maybe its just a machine she remote pilots from Korea.
Who knows, it’s kinda vague.

i remember someone saying that if they were ever to make D.mon a hero they would have to reduce the size of her mech or make it smaller, compared to what is portayed in art. maybe with overwatch 2 they made corridors bigger or gaps wider as to accomodate future bigger hitbox heroes. who knows maybe we will get D.mon as a hero in OW2
I immediately thought of that after I typed my post out. Ugh. She’ll basically be Arcee from Transformers in that case.

How fractured is the community when this is plausibly something the OW team would do. Nobody is deleting the hero, it is getting replaced with something better. I’m sure many on the OW team agree having a young woman fighting in wars is not ethical and technology is so good automation could do the job, the OW team have trouble sleeping at night on this issue… Morally it is wrong for a young woman to be forced to fight in wars. OW is all about ethics and equality.
Some D.va fans are just… I don’t understand why Genji, Sym, and Mercy mains get memed on so much when D.va fans are right there.

Oh they get memed on alright.
The difference is D.Va has a huge Korean backing so Blizzard doesn’t nerf her as harshly compared to other characters.
They’ll gladly occur the wrath of weebs and e-girls any day of the week, but Koreans stans (mixed with gamer girl stans) are another level.
