Is there any voice changer I can use to make a female voice sound male?

There is honestly a lot of issues with girls speaking in Overwatch over mics and how sometimes people freak out because “Oh you’re a girl”.

So is there anything people use to make themselves sound like the opposite gender to protect themselves from harassment in game?

I’m also really sick of the stereotype of “GIRLS PLAY MERCY”. No, girls don’t necessarily play Mercy. I am so over this stereotype.

Use a soundboard with call-outs.

MorphVox is a decent choice, free too.
Quality is eh, but it’ll mask it if you speak in a consistent tone.

Wow, we have actually got this far

…but…are we there yet? Is my question.

Just order a Darth Vader helmet from Amazon. The one that comes with a voice changer. Problem solved.

Just tell them you’re a little boy.

oh just tell them you have a high pitch voice. I know a few guys with feminine voices and I’m not just alking 13 years old.

But anyways, there’s Morphvox, Screaming Bees and a Darth Vader helmet.

sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this . Unfortunately using a voice changer would be quite obvious as it just sounds strange and robotic. I would recommend muting any people who harass you because of your gender and avoid them. There’s not really too much you can do to avoid this other than to report them and hope they’ve learn their lesson. Maybe find a vocal friend to duo with so that they can defend you from the trolls?

There’s a new program I’ve tested out and it sounds promising. Try googling Clown Fish Voice Changer. Custom pitch at -1.10 to -1.40 might help

Yeah there are lots of programs to change your voice. The most smart thing is just mute-report and talk with the people actualy want to cooperate.

Solo-Queue competitive = The player will be “Flex” mostly playing tank/support i find hard playing DPS when there already will be 3 - 4 people instant locking on DPS heros.

Also there is a lot of girls play DPS or TANk heros but most of the girls i meet in OW usually their most played heros are: Mercy, Dva, Mei, Pharah and Sym. The playerbase probably have very marked that stereotype

Hire me as a spokesperson. I call out whatever you want to call out. 1 cents per minute.

I guarantee the players who hear the voice changer will say oh a voice changer, cool man.

And continue with their games

I mean you could have literally just used google?

I never could find a decent one that’d work in-game. Though my reasons were the opposite. XP I’m a woman, but my voice is deep so I can get by on camouflaging as a male.

I was actually wanting to make my voice sound more feminine to see how bad the harassment actually was. XP For science!

However, I think the problem is less the actual voice and more the way women tend to speak. My lesbian friends have very female sounding voices, especially the one, and she’s only had sexist comments thrown her way like … three times? Because they don’t really speak in a feminine way.

I think that may be my biggest advantage. I grew up around gamer slang so I don’t really talk “girly” or giggle, etc. (Not implying you do, but … well, that’s the issue with my sister, I know. XP)

So I guess maybe try just speaking in a more neutral manner. Like I throw around “Dude,” and “Rekt” etc. a lot. I dunno /shrug.
