Is there a way for Dva to counter Ramattra

I played overwatch with in the past 1 month to this week. My question is this is there a way for Dva who is my go-to tank character for the past 6 years to counter Ramattra in his ult form Nemesis or not? Dva can counter Ramattra if he’s not in Nemesis form.
Clip is from my January 15th-16th overwatch gameplay
game play

Dva is not a 1v1 hero she’s a dive hero like Winston who looks for stay targets and picks them off by diving into them

basically just do this…

Ok then in some situations you will be forced to one 1v1. Be aware that 1v1 with Brigitte has a 50/50 chance of your self winning or Brigitte winning in a 1v1 as Dva.

I guess if dva used her ultimate, she could force Ram to back off from her team. But she would have to avoid getting in his ult as baby dva because she would probably die.

Find that helpful and for pilot form Dva should you try hiding behind the teammates since you have 150 hp like Tracer? Option 2 be aggressive within range of a healer against a Ramattra. Remember Ramattra in Ult form and Nemesis form can punch through a Brigitte Barrier Shield which makes life hard for a D.va in pilot form with a Brigitte healer.

Hiding behind hard cover is ideal, but if that isn’t an option then go behind team mates. Just be aware that baby dva flies forwards when throwing the bomb. It might be a good idea to fly away and then do a quick 180 and throw it just so you can distance yourself some.

Also make sure the bomb doesn’t land somewhere where Ram can just continue chasing after your team mates and remain safe from the bomb.

I will say though that it is risky. I have bombed my own backline before to counter Nano blade but the Genji will still get a kill sometimes before it goes off or my team will run away from my bomb.

i think only her ult is a counter to Ramattra but i feel he might be a little to powerful though

i never play d-va into him

he can do to much damage when you’re running away

The way you counter ramattra as dva is to head back to spawn, press h, and switch to literally anything else.

Correct and for his Nemesis form Punch it can go through a D.va Defensive matrix like a Brigitte Rocket Flail. The only time I can counter D.va is himself without a Soldier 76 or Mercy around as long he’s in Omnic form not nemesis form

yeah, i think i use zarya against him (haven’t played last season so still kind of learning to counter him)

I like winston against ramattra. He doesnt do anough outright damage to break bubble easily. If he goes into nemesis form to try to melee you to death, he opens himself to getting blasted by your dps and you can leap away.

The thing is D.Va can DM Ram’s punches in Nemesis form, which actually pierce, i.e. go through targets if not mitigated.

So Ram can go Nemesis when there’s a bunch of enemy players in his range and punch through them all if they’re clumped.

D.Va can just DM the majority of these punches, meaning his Nemesis form gets little or no value when otherwise it might delete a support or another squishie.

So, personally, I feel D.Va is one of the better tanks to face off against Ram. Just my opinion.

His ult is still stupidly broken and yes all you can do is shoot him whilst running away. Run or shoot? Both.

Typically, for heroes like Reinhardt and D.va who don’t have a way to defend against Nemesis form Ramattra, the best option is to usually bait it out and space him out (D.va can do this easily) or just go in and beat him down fist-to-fist.

For D.va, this means you can use your boosters to break off an attack when he enters Nemesis or just engage him and kill him this way, since D.va does more damage than Ramattra will do in either form. If Ramattra decides to block; you can booster off and take on another target or simply run off to a health pack or force a stalemate.

Don’t even bother using Defense Matrix against Nemesis form Ramattra, and only when he casts Vortex. D.va will out damage Ramattra regardless of which form he’s in, and if he goes Nemesis, he can’t critically hit you.

This is false. Mathematically, D.va will win the fight every time.

D.va can’t defense matrix Ramattra’s Nemesis form Pummel. Further, it’s not wise to even do this as the damage is severly mitigated by D.va’s armor. 60 x 30% is 42; damage per second is reduced to 70; D.va’s damage per second is over 150; mitigated by armor it is 102. D.va still wins with Missiles and Boosters in combination.

So helpful but the thing is in my Xbox Console matches comp and Quickplay Ramattra tends to go Nemesis form with a soldier 76 or other Dps and a healer behind him. In that situation should I activate Ult to kill the Dps and Healers behind Ramattra while he’s in Nemesis form?

I mean you’re not meant to duel the other tank as dva, unlike other tanks like ram who can bust through shields, hog who can tactically stun the tank and deals massive damage up close or rein who can pin for half their health

Dva deals horrible dps to tanks, has no sustain and dies much quicker than other tanks

Her playstyle is that of winston: find someone in the back line and fly towards them, eat up their defensives with matrix and burst them down

And for god’s sake dont try to use your ult to kill people, that stops working in silver, use it by tanking as much damage as you can and right before losing your mech to get a new one straight away

Nope. Guess you’ll have to switch. Sorry (not sorry)

In a straight one vs. one D.Va is does roughly 150DPS without micro-missiles, and her gun can crit. Rammatra does 100 without crits (D.Va’s huge crit-box is her biggest weakness in one vs. one matchups) and they’re comparably tanky otherwise. So really she should never lose a straight fight. But in a one vs. one with your teams behind you she generally loses because Rammatra can just block and face-tank all the damage d.Va and her team sends his way much more effectively than d.Va can.

In other words kill supports and squishes before dealing with him. You’re basically fat Genji. So do the fat Genji thing.
