Is there a new hero for season 3?

I haven’t heard any news if there is one or not. And since season 3 is right around the corner and nothing has been show like Ramattra was, I’m beginning to think we’re not getting one.

Nah. s3 is the first ow2 season without a new hero, only a new map. It’ll be interesting to see what they do since most people come back for the new heroes.

Which should make it a great time to do a bunch of big balance changes.

Heroes are only being released in even numbered seasons from now on.

Considering their balance changes as of late, I’m very concerned for a season dedicated to that type of thing.

Given the way they were talking about in that SVB podcast, I’m getting more of this sense.

It’s actually a really refreshing and assuring podcast, just listen to it like an audio podcast. Cause it’s kinda long.

Seasons will alternate between a new hero and a new map (With one of the map seasons having multiple maps when the new mode drops)

Seasons 1 and 2 were exceptions. Season 3 will be when the schedule starts properly.

There was never a new hero for season 3, they’ve said since the new OW2 model was announced that we would get heroes every other season, with maps and modes in between

S1 was an exception basically with them dropping 3 new heroes at launch, but it’s only a new hero every even season from now on

Our next supports are scheduled for season 4 and 6.After that probably a tank since they said no DPS in 2023.

The interview was excellent, it really humanizes the devs and it’s a shame that so much of the community has closed themselves off from being willing to hear it.

Season 4 and Season 8 will have new heroes.

It gives me hope. I know they know the issues we’re having and it’s good to hear that they’re aware, but also they’re thinking about how to address them. I think that’s kinda what the community has been starved for for so long. Before if there was an issue that remained for 5 months we just kinda assumed they didn’t care.

Now we know they DO at least LISTEN, and they just don’t know exactly how to fix the issue, or they have ideas but it’ll take some time to implement (i.e.; the hog changes, the brig ult rework, one shots from heroes like widow and junkrat etc.)
