Is the use of a mouse and keyboard on console is permitted?

I have recently been seing more and more of those players… the higher you go, the more they are. I think we all agree on one thing, that using a mouse is scummy, it gives an uffair advantage against the other player. Before anyone say: No not everybody can get those, so don’t say that if i am mad i should just get one, go ahead try me.
Anyhow please help me about that

It’s against the rules, but currently there is 0 way to detect a Xim which is the device required in order to use M+KB on Console.
Xim’s allow you to use Aim Assist on a Mouse. So yeah, its literal aimbot. If its cheating on PC, its cheating on Console.
Jeff had said they were against using M+KB on Console, but that there was simply no way to detect the Xim. So they can’t do alot about it.

If i report them, will they look at his case? But overall is it worth it to report them when i see them?

I mean they will never actually look into a KBM case because even with replay codes they still technically can’t tell the difference (even if its obvious). So yeah, not really worth reporting.

I would totally LOVE to be able to talk to one of those dirty nerd, and why they do it because they have a unfair advantage against everybody… cheater.

Just the usual complaining. I mean, people are using Scuf controller or xbox elite controller for consoles while other uses normal controller, thus giving them an edge over their competitor. People who use Scuf controller are the same as people who use XIM imo, and it all comes to hypocritical complainer complaining about people having hardware advantages.

Another thing to consider. PS4 controller technology has this project being develop for PC gaming. It is basically the same as the Nintendo Switch control for OW, so I won’t be surprise if this is adapter to consoles.

This also have some advantages over the current vanilla gamepad control scheme for fps games.

I don’t have the time nor the money to go get one, my self estime is high enough to be assured i’ll do somewhat good without a mouse and keyboard because people who use one are just some sorry excuse for not having aim… if you don’t have some bouhou sad for you! I don’t care just don’t ruin everybody else’s game you jerk! (No directed to you, unless you use a mouse and keyboard then you can get run over by your tv…)

Maybe it is because XIM mimics the controller input from the plugged in mouse and keyboard.

So have fun detecting that.

comparing hack software to a keyboard and mouse doesn’t add up but whatever you need to tell yourself

i mean, it’s your logic. just because anyone with money can do it doesn’t mean it doesn’t give you an unfair advantage.

I see this whole gamepad vs xim controller the same as gamepad vs a racing wheel. The argument is the same.

Anyone could use an aimbot or wall hack on PC if they really wanted to. I guess those aren’t unfair then either?
