I’d love to see more backstory for heroes that have been left by the wayside, lore-wise.
Developing heroes like Lucio/D.Va/Zenyatta would make them feel a lot more fleshed out and establish what their motivation is.
Crazy Idea: What if they tease the new hero in the next short, how crazy would that be?!?
Aside from that, everyone’s been asking for Zenyatta/Lucio lore, and we got a bit of Lucio lore in the last patch.

Well, we don’t even know if there’s going to be a short. There probably will though. I’m hoping for more information about what happens now that overwatch is coming back as practically vigilantes.
Forum rage that it isn’t what they wanted or who they wanted, a hundred more LGBT threads mad that it didn’t make whichever hero it is gay or whatever, a bunch of threads about “we waited X amount of time for this?”, and a dash of “OMGTHXBLIZ!!!”.

Just want to point out that they recently hired a new and award-winning writer. Pretty sure everyone who cares about them pushing the story forward in a meaningful way (like myself) can rest easy. You don’t hire a Nebula-Award winner and then let them write in-game bios.
I just want a cinematic showing us what Junkrat’s “treasure” and how it connects to the rest of the story.
I doubt it. I’m hoping there’s more than just another short this time… If anything this short will just give us some more backstory for a character that doesn’t much of anything, it’s hard to think it’ll push the entire story forward when we have so little on all the heroes.

As long as it has the quality of the Reinhardt’s short, I am ok with whatever it is !!

True. Im happy we are getting a short finally im just tired of being stuck in the past.
I really think it will be about D.Va since The Kap is headed Korea (apparently). Which probably means backstory/current story for her
