Pulse bomb requires you to commit at least two blinks or one blink+recall and 300 damage means that it will be useless against tanks. For me wasting my cooldowns against 200 hp heroes isn’t worth it just to have a slight chance of getting a stick. Just going to unbind my Q key on tracer. The new Hanzo ability is better than the nerfed pulse to be honest.
You don’t need to.
You just need to seperate yourself from the bomb.
Anyways, two blinks is 6 seconds.
And you’ll be dealing 300 damage to tanks, is it really as useless as you think it is?
Maybe you should stop playing Tracer, you’re not good enough to get value out of her it seems.
i feel the same about whole hog but pulse bomb as much as i hate tracer is one of the more difficult ults to get value out of
300 damage instant is enough to kill a majority of the cast and leave the other half crippled. Combine it with a Graviton Surge like you already do and that’s 300 damage instantly to all of those trapped inside.
What a terrible ultimate. If only she got it every 40 seconds to make-up for how expendable it is-- oh, well then… I’ve got some great news for you.
well i ain’t no GM but I was doing well for myself with a 72% win rate.
That is a tradeoff of having an ult that you can reliably charge in 30 seconds, on a character with a near infinite skillcap.
Pulse bomb is still a powerful ability.
Kit, gun, ult
Pick two.
There’s nothing different to anything besides Tanks and Bastion.
I actually use pulse bomb to finish enemies off instead of using melee
Your title is very misleading…
This is coming from a Junkrat main.
He has all three.
Sure his ult can be one shot by 1/3rd of the cast but no body wants to shoot it anyways.
His Trap’s lacking but a 2nd mine is morr than enough to make up for it.
If you apply the same logic to McCree’s ult…
That’s why they are nerfing him, and why there was a pro-discussion about how Rip-tire was OP given the value of Junkrat outside of it. It was actually pretty interesting.
Can’t be doing that well if you think pulse bomb is useless.
I wouldn’t call it a nerf, so much as weeding out Bad junkies.
They reduced projectike size?
Cool, now we can bounce it through small gaps in shields.
It doesn’t affect much because most of the half-decent Junkies can read people like books and people will still walk into the spam because they think it’s miniscule and it won’t hit them.
The tyre nerf? HAH, people don’t even try to shoot it. What difference is it going to make?
tracer isnt a tank buster and cant oneshot tanks with her ult anyways.
She could with Zarya if she was caught with her Bubble down.
I think whether or not it’s gonna be successful is rather besides the point, and the bigger takeaway is that they stated that they wanted to make his gun less effective and nerfed him not long after there was a pro-discussion about how Junkrat violated that general rule that all the other heroes followed.
any torb armor, sym shield generator, or a brigitte repair pack will deny any of this though.
And even then thats measily ONE of 6 tanks that cant get oneshotted by it.
They need to be prefired for it to do anything. And at that point, thats just making you be around longer before chucking ur sticky bomb.
