Either I’ve been incredibly lucky or the crossplay icon has been removed from OW2.
in OW1 I got crossplay players every other match. I could tell from the crossplay icon when you press “p”.
Now in OW2 I don’t think I’ve seen a single console player in my matches.
Did they move or remove the visual crossplay icon?
They removed the icon, just like everything else that was useful.
That’s an utterly stupid decision then if that’s the case.
I still see the crossplay icon.
What?! Okay I need to check again then. We had a playstation player in our discord the other day and I didn’t see an icon while in-game with them. Thanks for the info.
It’s still there and I see console players in my matches daily.
Add another voice to the “it’s still there” lot.
It’s on Wux’s card on the right hand side. I’ve been trying to keep track of how many crossplayers crop up in my QP history and so far it’s not all that many. That guy is one of two crossplayers in my last fifty players on the list.
It has died down, there was a huge surge of them when they added aim assist, and that was just awful.
I believe if you click someone’s profile you would see it but if you don’t see it just see if it has the “view gamercard” button (or something along those lines) and if they don’t, they are cross-platform but if they do, they are on your platform.

I know that it’s rare for PC players to see console players as they need to group with a PC player to be in our lobbies but I didn’t think it would go from seeing one in every other match in OW1 to never seeing any in OW2.
Consider yourself lucky then, because this is my reality every day. That’s just page 2, there were more on page 1 and 3.
I’ve got 7 in my last 46. And that’s on a good night. Usually there’s more.
Thinking maybe it’s either an MMR thing or a gamemode thing as I exclusively play OQ and am not great at the game.
Oh also region. When I play with my EU friend on EU servers, I rarely see console players. But on my usual NA servers… well…
Ah, the region thing might be the answer since I really doubt I’m better at the game than you are. For better or worse I’m pratting around on EU.
