Being straight evil is so shallow for any “bad guys”. Everyone knows that any good villain has a hint of convincing reasoning for their actions. I really hope talon isn’t just “we want to take over the world and kill anyone in our way”
If they are more realistic then it wouldn’t be hard to have a talon healer that cares about his/her comrades genuinely. (And actually stays in talon).
Question: could there be some good guys in talon?

Nah they’re evil, i dont think causing wars is being misunderstood.
To answer your question: probably

“Only through conflict will humanity evolve.”

I believe Michael Chu said that Talon and Overwatch are the same composition, both of scientists, politicians, etc. They have the same goal as well, a better future for humanity, yet they have different methods of getting there.

While Talon might have reasonable goals, their way of achieving them makes them plainly evil. Like. Disney villain evil. The game’s story is not that complex.

Talon is just trying to help the world without being bound by red tape like “ethics”
Look at talons sigma skin, the only one with shoes to keep his feet warm
Can any organization that cares about the health of its employees be evil? I think not

Not necessarily. A lot of villains do feel justified in their actions (everyone is the hero in their own story), but sometimes people enjoy someone just being evil.
But to answer the question, no. Talon is not misunderstood. This is an organization that has attacked innocents and committed massacres / genocide. Talon agents are often shown to be cold, cruel, and uncaring, often stealing what they want or reveling in the thrill of battle.
They are evil.

Brainwashing someone to kill their husband, brainwashing someone to do their bidding without him even realizing hes being controlled.
Illegal experimentation, Causes big conflicts that drastically affects people lives in a way. The effected people either die or lose their homes and every day life for them gets destroyed. Targeting members of previous OW bc a reason.
Talon is not good, they are a group that all has different goals and most of their goals lead to a troubled future

Talon is not evil. Who thinks so is just paladin that truly believes in D&D good/neutral/bad ranking system.
Depends, Reaper is a very cliché villain but Sombra for example doesn’t seem “Disney” evil.
I don’t think they have given us near enough story to make a good assessment of this question. Nor do I think they ever will.
I mean, Talon straight up brainwashes people, manipulates Sigma, burns and kills an entire village just because they don’t have the info they seek. Not to mention they steal from them as well.
Talon is straight up evil. And no, the D&D alignment system isn’t good. It’s why 5E largely moved away from the alignment system.

People need to separate Pre-Doomfist Talon and Post-Doomfist Talon…
Evil has always been a matter of perspective. To some, Doomfist is a psychopathic terrorist, to others, he’s merely doing his best to make mankind stronger via struggle and subsequent growth.
All that matters is if you think the end justifies the means.

This games story is hyper cartoonish garbage, what do you think
Sombra is also more of a loose cannon who just uses Talon for her own convenience. I don’t think that she’s really part of Talon, more that she’s just a pragmatist and Talon happens to give her most benefits for the time being.
After all, she deliberately botched a Talon mission for her own ends.
Now that I’m thinking about it, Sombra might be the most interesting ‘evil’ character in the whole game. Hell, for all we know she might turn out as an anti-hero in the end (if the story will ever progress that far).

Talon is more, “by any means necessary” than evil. Not always a huge difference.
Reaper the terrorist
Moira the scientist doing illegal experiments
Sombra who hacks, blackmails, and murders people
Widowmaker who literally assassinated the leader of a peace movement
Doomfist who has probably caused trillions in property damages

Government imprisoned Sigma and didn’t even tried to let him control his abilities, he had a reason to be manipulated. Talon broke him free, not good overwatch. But this was act of mercy to keep him imprisoned and suffering than kill.
Overwatch manipulated Genji as well. We will give you body if you will serve us. But they gave him a chance to choose his fate, huh?
He hated his family clan anyway
Overwatch will use same methods if it will be necessary to save the world. OW is illegal organisation btw.
They just have different goals. You may support them or not.
