I have not moved any rank the last 3 times I completed my matches, that means moving up or down. ive just stayed the same, even if i won more than loss (just won a ton of games as support, didnt move up at all). Is this some type of bug, or is this just the new ranking system? A few days ago i won a ton of games as tank and was excited to move up to gold, and nope, for the second time i stayed in silver and the same tier i already was. This is quite dissapointing considering ive been winning more than losing as well. In overwatch 1 i was easily gold. Anyway, its just odd im not moving up or down at all. Theres no point to play this game if Im not going to move up in ranks.

Your performance matters too. If you won more than lost but in your winning matches the system considers your contribution to be less than that of your teammates - it won’t weight it much. So you could be pretty much 7W/5L and not move anywhere. It works in reverse too - if you play out of your mind in higher brackets and have say 45% win-rate, you still can theoretically climb, albeit slowly.
thats good to know, i didnt know that. i do normally have a good score though. most games i have most healing done.
At lower ranks, the performance actually matters. Once you reach diamond, its all about win vs loss ratio
