I’ve somehow managed to derank from plat 3 to silver 1 over the past few weeks.
After being fairly comfortable in plat for a majority of the last season.
It just seems most of my games now are wildly one sided with people I’m fairly certain have never actually played the game before.
Playing as support
A similar feeling here after the Champion rank was added.
I’ve played 300+ games in plat, i didnt rank up but didnt go down either.
but after the champion rank came in, I keep roaming around gold.
Even tho i’ve learned more stuff in support and IDK why I keep getting players that just go and feed and ult after their whole team is dead.
Its one thing to say to carry yourself out a rank and another to get handicapped with players that are doing weird things.
Seems fine to me. I’m gold on support and think I belong there. Need to get better. I wouldn’t worry about rank. Your games will be easier and you’ll climb back. Just don’t queue if you lose several games. You might be having an off day and also feel demoralized from losses.
I had a set of horrendous placements after the rank reset and ended up in darkest silver. Then I played a bunch more games and went up to plat lickity split. The matchmaker is a whimsical creature and can’t be trusted. All you can do is roll with it. You’ll get back up to plat, OP. Anyway, know that you are not alone in having strange matchmaking.
