I mean, when it comes to taking out a Pharmercy, I like playing Soldier for a little more consistant damage at range, however since the buff, McCree has a lot better combat all around against all opponents.

Short answer, on pc, no. Depends on rank youre playing at but he is bad to mediocre in all of them.
Tbh only situation I’d see him valuable, is with 1 healer comp against pharmercy. Aka any random low elo match.

Soldier 76 is mediocre in nearly any occasion compared to McCree.
- Widow
- Ashe
- McCree
- Soldier

he and ashe should not be picked for serious games. McCree for close range, Widow for all range
Accurate, they’re always competing in the hitscan role, when one performs better the other never gets used.
Same thing usually happens between Mercy & Ana. Recently that’s not the case.
High ranks is either goats or sniper heaven. So Soldier isnt really a great option. Got flamed even in plat when the enemy ran triple tank when i picked Soldier and i got told i dont understand the game.
Hes a Jack of all trades hero which benefits from being more forgiving than other dps, but doesnt really accel at anything.
76 is still better than McCree prior to masters. But neither is particularly great.
